Almárëa

When the sun rose the next day, I did not wish to leave the comfort of my bed or the comfort of my chambers. The previous day had left me emotionally drained, no matter how much lighter I felt after letting go of the guilt I have been feeling since that fateful day.

"Come in." I tell the person on the other side of the door, bringing me out of my thoughts with the knocking "Arwen, what are you doing here at this hour?" I was not expecting to see my niece this early, making me sit up on the bed "It was my understanding we were to meet at noon?"

"Yes, that was the agreement we achieved last night." she says while making her way to me "However, I thought it would be beneficial for both of us, but more so to you as to help you recuperate from the exhausted state you were in the previous night." Arwen then sits in the bed with me and takes my hand in hers "I know it is painful at the moment but, as time passes, it will get better." Arwen then looks at me wearing a gentle smile on her lips "What do you say about going for a swim? I can only imagine you could not do that while you were traveling."

"I appreciate the thought you have put onto our time together, my dear Hikari." I tell her, feeling at peace, and giving her a hug "Do you have the necklace I gave you?" feeling her nod her head gave me the answer I needed "Go get it and meet me at my secret lake."

With Arwen going to retrieve her necklace, I made my way to the bath chambers so I could wash my face and neck from the sleepiness that was still clinging to me. Even though I would be inside the water soon enough. Coming out of the chamber, I moved swiftly to my wardrobe so I could take out a simple white gown that I would not mind getting wet, even if I had the necessary magic to dry any dress I used.
