Chapter 6

Rayas POV
Diane was trying to stomp Meliodas and he was dodging all of her attacks.
Diane- "You're small holy knight but you're pretty tough."
Meliodas- "Yeah and you're huge but you're fast on your feet."
Meliodas jumped and used his sword to attack Diane. But they said holy knight could it be...
Hawk- "Each one of them thinks that the other one is a holy knight."
Elizabeth- "It can't be. Both of you have to stop it, that's enough!"
But they didn't listen, I got angry and yelled at them.
Rayas- "BOTH OF YOU, KNOCK IT OFF NOOOW!"
From what I saw, they're eyes returned back to normal and they looked at us.
Diane- "Princess,Rayas, what are you doing here?"
Hawk- "We should asking you that!"
Diane- "Captain you're here? Where's that holy knight?"
Meliodas- "Huh? Hey you're right."
Kid- "Poor big lady are you all right?"
The kid ran up to Diane concerned for her.
Diane- "Yeah, you okay you're still here?"
Kid- "Yeah."
While he was saying that, I looked at the kid's staff and saw tiny bell attached to it. Then I remembered what the voice said.
???- "Find the bell to save your friends."
As soon as I snapped back to reality, I realized that Diane was fighting Meliodas again.
Diane- "You're hiding them from me again!"
The kid ran back to the man and I heard the bell sound coming from his staff. It must be the kid's doing.
Kid- "I'm scared I don't wanna die please."
Elizabeth- "I'll protect you I swear even if it means trading my life for yours."
Man- "You- you'd do that?"
Elizabeth- "Yes!"
I heard a sound coming from behind, I turned and saw a person in armor. It must be a holy knight.
Freesia- "Touching to see a Princess who cares. But is that truly what you would do or an empty promise?"
She raised her weapon and all of sudden, these weird insects started coming out of the tree.
Hawk- "I don't believe it another holy knight."
A bug landed on Hawk's nose. While he was dealing with that I looked back and saw that all the insects made a whirlwind of themselves.
Rayas- "That's insane."
Freesia- "Storm Rondo, now my little beetles can tear your flesh with their thorns."
Kid- "No I'm scared don't let it get me."
Rayas- "Kid what are you doing!?"
The holy knight saw the kid run up the hill and sent her insects towards him.
Freesia- "That kid's whining is really annoying me. You die first."
The insects surrounded the kid and started hurting him. Elizabeth wasn't going to be standing there, she was going to help him.
Freesia- "Let me see, 'even if I have to trade my life for yours' was that the phrase? For all your brave attitude, did you ever believe you'd follow through it did you?"
Hawk- "Oh that's sick."
I saw Elizabeth walking towards the kid, I tried to stop her, but I couldn't, I was scared.
Hawk- "No Elizabeth!"
Rayas- "Stop you're going to get hurt Elizabeth."
Freesia- "What really!?"
She entered the whirlwind and all the insects started slashing her, she endured the pain and kept going.
Elizabeth- "I promise, I gave my word to you, even if you die along the way. I would do it, even if I were left all alone, I would still protect the kingdom and all its people from the holy knights."
She made it to the kid, the holy knight couldn't believe it. I was in deep thought.
Rayas- *thoughts* "Why? Why didn't I help her? She's getting hurt and I'm not helping her? I don't want to lose her."
Hawk- "Elizabeth no."
The holy knight called off the whirlwind and all the insects disappeared.
Hawk- "Are you okay?"
Elizabeth- "I'm fine."
She looked at the kid asking if he was okay but...
Kid?- "So you'd risk your life to save a poor boy like this one? That's quite commendable of you.However..."
The bell on his staff started ringing again and the kid started growing and it turned that the kid...
Ruin- "Reality can be rather cruel."
Was a holy knight himself, I felt that something was wrong with him.
Rayas- "Another.."
Hawk- "Holy Knight? We were victims of the illusion?"
Elizabeth- "You did this, you're responsible for everything, their behavior.."
Ruin- "Hehehe, the seven deadly sins are nothing more than little playthings to me."
Rayas- "You bastard. You ended up hurting my friends." "Give me your staff sir."
The man gave me his staff and I started running towards the holy knight.
Rayas- "Turn my friends back to normal!! AAAAAAHHH!"
I hit him in the head but he didn't flinch one bit, I tried hitting him again but he grabbed the staff and knees me in the stomach. I dropped down and spat blood on the ground.
Elizabeth- "Sir Rayas No!"
Hawk charged in and the holy knight hit him with his staff.
Ruin- "Hahahaha... as we speak the two sins are engaged in battle and we'll be dead in moments. Now Princess Elizabeth come with me if you do I will not continue hurting this boy."
I tried standing up but I couldn't, my stomach was hurting really bad.
Rayas- "Don't listen to him, you need to get out of here Liz!"
Elizabeth- "But..."
Rayas- "No buts Gooo!"
The knight preps his staff to hit Elizabeth but with every part of my body responding I get in front of Elizabeth and took the hit. Me and Elizabeth were sent a few meters away and before we hit the ground I grabbed Elizabeth and pulled her close to me. I hit the ground on my back and we started sliding. We stopped and I made sure that she was okay.
Hawk- "Oh no Rayas, Elizabeth!"
Rayas- "You okay?"
Elizabeth- "Y-Yes."
Freesia- "Wait a minute Ruin, isn't killing the princess a bad idea?"
Ruin- "Of course, I am well aware of that. Boy, you managed to protect the princess and have taken two of my blows, so out of respect for your bravery I will tell you both this, the source of my hypnosis resides with my staff-Huh, it's gone!"
Rayas- "Hehehe, you looking for this?"
I show him the bell of his staff, I managed to get it when I got hit by the staff.
Ruin- "You little shit, that's what you were after the whole time. YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR INSOLENCE!"
He was about to attack us. I closed my eyes only to hear the punch stop. I open them and saw Meliodas holding Ruin's arm back.
Meliodas- "Not a chance, you're the one who's gonna pay now."
Ruin- "The spell is broken?"
Ruin pries off and backs up from Meliodas. Meliodas turns around kneels down and hugs me.
Meliodas- "Rayas, thank you for protecting Elizabeth, I owe you one."
Ruin- "Ignoring me?! He who strikes first wins."
Meliodas pushes me back and got hit by Ruin's staff, he got blown away only for Ruin to hit him to the ground.
Rayas/Elizabeth/Hawk- "Meliodas/Sir Meliodas!"
Ruin picks him up by his face.
Ruin- "Hahaha pathetic. The kingdom actually felt threatened by this insignificant child?"
Meliodas opens his eyes and punches Ruin in the face causing a shockwave that sends Hawk flying and almost me and Elizabeth. Ruin was sent flying to the baste prison and Meliodas soon follow suit."
Freesia- "Oh no Ruin!"
The other holy knight was going to help Ruin only to be prevented by Diane who stood behind her getting ready to pummel her. While she was dealing with that I checked on Elizabeth.
Rayas- "I'm glad you're okay."
Elizabeth- "Sir Rayas."
Once the ground stopped shaking I looked back and saw the knight was beaten and her armor was broken to pieces. Diane came to check up on us only for me to start saying things they did not except me to say.
Rayas- "I'm sorry."
Diane- "For what? You heard what the captain said, he thanked you for protecting the princess. Why are you saying sorry?"
Rayas- "I shouldn't be here at all. I don't know why I joined you guys in the first place, all I have done was slowing you down, I got in the way of Meliodas fight with Gilthunder, Elizabeth almost got killed, and now I can't even keep a promise I made to three people. I-I should leave."
I got up and started walking away only for someone to grab my arm. I turned around and saw that it was Elizabeth.
Rayas- "Liz le-"
Out of nowhere, she just slapped me, she looked so mad when I turned to her again.
Elizabeth- "Don't you dare say that! Sir Rayas, you ended up keeping your promise to me, that no matter what happened, you will keep going and saving the people of Liones, so why, why are you turning back on it, why are you turning back on what Meliodas said to you?"
Rayas- "Bu-"
Diane- "No buts!"
Diane approach us and crouched down.
Diane- "You make a promise to someone you have to stick with it, you have to keep the promise you made with Kari don't you?"
My eyes widened and I remember the promise I made to her. That I would come back to her and Doctor. I fell to my knees and started punching the ground over and over. Diane, Hawk, and Elizabeth stood there worried. Once I was done, I got up and turned to them.
Rayas- "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that. It's just, a lot's happened and I guess I couldn't handle it. You guys don't mind that, right?"
They smiled and Elizabeth came over and hugged me, Diane looked a bit angry but happy that I came back to my senses. Hawk puffed from his nose.
Rayas- "Should we get to Meliodas now?"
Diane- "Yeah, we shouldn't keep him waiting."
Elizabeth- "Yeah let-"
Elizabeth dropped down to the floor, I went to her and saw that she was unconscious.
Rayas- "Diane you got room in your backpack?"
Diane- "Yeah it should be enough for two people."
Rayas- "Good, put Elizabeth in there, she needs to rest."
Diane- "What about you?"
Rayas- "I'm fine, to be honest I don't feel injured or hurt. I know I took hits from a holy knight but it doesn't hurt as bad as the time I got the hit from Gilthunder."
Hawk- "You must be pretty tough Huh?"
Rayas- "Guess so. Let's get going."
Hawk- "Before we go we forgot about someone."
Hawk chased after the man and stopped him and Diane soon got to him and threatened him to know where the Doctor Dana's daughter is.
Diane put Elizabeth in her backpack and we went to Baste Prison to catch up to Meliodas.
*Timeskip*
We managed to get to the Prison and saw Meliodas standing there next to the doorway.
Meliodas-"Are you sure she's in this tower?"
Diane- "Well let's just say he doesn't strike as a the kind of soldier who would lie to my cute little face."
Rayas- "Well who would?"
Diane blushed a little from my comment.
Meliodas looked at Elizabeth smiling at her.
Meliodas- "You'll be okay I promise."
We went inside the prison to find the Doctor's daughter and Ban.
Diane- "So weird this whole place looks totally deserted."
Meliodas- "I guess by knocking that holy knight airborne put them off a bit."
Hawk- "Talk about wimps."
Rayas- "I know right?"
Meliodas- "Rayas stay close to us."
Rayas- "Ok."
We investigated almost every cell of the prison and no one was in them except for one. There was a lady in one of the cell, it must've been the Doctor's daughter.
Rayas- "Guys! I think I found her."
We went to the cell to see her laying there.
Hawk- "This is her without a doubt. The Doctor's daughter."
Meliodas- "Well let's get her out. Got any room for one more?"
Diane- "Mhm"
Diane ripped the cage open and put the lady in her bag. We managed to save the daughter and I kept my promise to him. All that's left is to find Ban and we're outta here. Then we heard footsteps behind us, we turned around and a man approaching us. He was shirtless and had no shoes, and red torn pants.
Meliodas- "Ban?"
Ban- "Hey Captain."
So that guy's Ban Huh? Both Meliodas and Ban were staring at each other. I guess this is some sort of friend reunion.
Hawk- "They both seem upset, what's going on? Got a bad feeling about this."
Diane- "You're right, you might wanna get behind me and hide there."
Diane grabbed me and pulled me close to her. Meliodas and Ban both screamed their names again but happy and then they ran to each other and started giving high fives rapidly.
Hawk- "What's that like a game off patty cake gone horribly wrong."
Ban- "Captain!"
Ban hits Meliodas and sends him through a few walls.
Ban- "Hahaha my turn, me next!"
Meliodas gets up jumps to Ban and head-butted him in the stomach sending him through a few walls too.
Hawk- "Do I wanna know?"
Diane- "Just roll with it."
Ban and Meliodas laughed and got up from the floor.
Ban- "So great, I thought you might've gotten soft on me."
Meliodas- "You still got it."
Both of them grabbed each other's hand to do what it looks like to be an arm wrestle.
Ban- "Ready."
Meliodas- "Go!"
They started and their sheer force started breaking the walls of the prison. I was really surprised to how strong these guys are.
Rayas- "Have they always been like this Diane?"
Diane- "You mean them being typical immature boys?"
Rayas- "Yeah, I guess this is their kind friendly reunion, Huh?"
Hawk- "How are you guys so calm about this?!"
Ban- "720 times. If I recall correctly and I do, I beat you in 361 of them."
Meliodas- "You must've lost your mind, I've won 361 times."
The floor broke and we started falling but Meliodas and Ban were still wrestling.
Diane- "The Captain is cute when he gets all worked up like that."
Rayas- "This looks like an even match, I don't know who's going to win this to be honest."
Hawk- "I don't think this is the time, waaaaah!"
*timeskip*
We made it back to Dalmally and went to the Doctor Dana's clinic, only to find that he was alive and well.
Zenith- "Father! I was so worried."
Doctor Dana- "My sweet little girl I'm so glad you're okay."
Rayas- "Doctor Dana, you're okay. But how?"
Doctor Dana- "Look at this."
He opened his shirt and we saw the wound where he was stabbed was shut and healed.
Hawk- "Wow, it's just like with Meliodas and Rayas's wound."
Doctor Dana- "Is that true? Though I'm a doctor, I'm ashamed that I have no idea how I'm still alive right now."
Meliodas- "Bottom line is you're alive, I'd say just roll with the wind. Well we gotta get going, besides, there's no telling whether or not the holy knights will come by when they hear the news."
We were going to leave but Doctor Dana called us we turned around.
Doctor Dana- "Will you let me do something as a thank you, even if it's something simple as a meal?"
Rayas- "Sure thing. What about you Meliodas?"
Meliodas- "Well we might take you up on that."
Hawk- "Leave out the poison this time."
Meliodas and me hit Hawk in the head.
We were in the roof of the clinic. Elizabeth was in bed resting her wounds but awake. Meliodas introduces Ban to her and me."
Meliodas- "Alright Elizabeth and Rayas, time for me to officially introduce you, this is Ban he's the fox sin of greed."
Ban- "Hey, don't bother getting up and you."
He gets up and walks towards me.
Rayas- "Yes?"
Ban- "I heard what you did, standing up to a holy knight, you're pretty tough."
Rayas- "Well I wouldn't say that but thanks."
Meliodas- "Woah where'd you get that suit?"
Ban- "I came pretty well prepared I can't stand shirtless in front of the princess now can I?"
Rayas- "How'd you buy clothes without any money?"
Ban- "I kinda stumbled across it was a total fluke. So yeah, haven't seen you in a while Diane."
Diane- "I would've perfectly happy to go 100 more years without seeing you again."
I silently chuckled at that.
Elizabeth- "Hello I'm Elizabeth please forgive me for not rising to greet you."
Ban- "Oh your highness no worries at all we're not big on ceremonies, so let's just be friends the five of us."
Hawk- "You mean the six of us?"
Ban - "Uh Captain you need glasses there's five of us here?"
Hawk- "Um there are six of us are you sure you don't got a couple of screws loose?"
Ban- "Hm, who said that?"
Hawk- "I did."
Ban looks down and sees Hawk.
Ban- "There's a talking pig here!"
Hawk- "You're just noticing that?!"
Ban- "Oh no way, a pig talking like a person? That is more than I can handle man. Oh that's it you're king right? Of course, you're cursed and now you look like an actual pig."
Diane- "Guess again."
Meliodas- "I heard that King's dead, I guess that's the rumor."
Hawk- "I'll warn you now, I'm no ordinary pig. I am Sir Hawk, Captain of the Order of Scraps Disposal."
Ban- "Wow I've never heard of that order before."
Rayas- "Yeah it happened recently only one day has passed and he's already a captain."
Hawk- "HEY!"
All us started to laugh.
Doctor Dana- "Are you finished with the introductions? Come on you need to eat up before your food gets cold."
Rayas,Hawk,Ban and Meliodas- "Oh yeah."
Rayas- "It smells so good."
Zenith brought food for both Elizabeth and Diane.
Zenith- "Does it bother you to stand here by yourself?"
Diane- "Nu-Uh. I'm just happy that I have a chance to eat with everyone for a change."
We began to eat the food and drink some ale, well they drink the ale I just drank water, it was so good, I look to my right and saw Meliodas feeding Diane and Diane sorta ate him on accident. After we were done, Ban was drunk and Hawk was carrying him I think.
Ban- "Come on master, teach me what you know."
Hawk- "Will you guys help me get this guy off my back?"
Diane- "Ban try not to overdo it okay?"
Elizabeth- "I kinda wish that this could go on forever, but I guess that's not in the cards for us is it?"
Diane- "Hey princess? I don't know a lot about humans or the customs most humans have and I'm not that interested. However..."
Elizabeth- "However?"
Diane- "I'm okay with the idea of fighting for you cause honestly you and Rayas were pretty badass today."
Elizabeth- "Who me? I didn't do anything. It Rayas-"
Diane- "You've got a pretty strong power you know? The power to move hearts from me and the Captain. And Rayas, he gave me a reason to keep going, that no matter what happened, no matter who you're facing, you have to fight and not back down, to protect the people you care about."
Elizabeth- "But Lady Diane..."
Diane- "By the way princess would it be alright if I called you Elizabeth?"
Elizabeth- "Yes."
Diane- "Then don't about being formal to me either."
Elizabeth- "I couldn't possibly..."
Diane- "Hey it's fine."
Elizabeth- "A-Alright."
Zenith- "Father you see that?"
The doctor looked up and I did too and saw stars intertwining each other.
Doctor Dana- "Remarkable it's like a passage in one of Britannia fables. When shooting stars fill the night sky in a form of crosses Britannia will face their most desperate hour, this is a trial preordained since ancient times and it will herald the beginning of the Holy war between the guiding hand of light and the bloodline of darkness."
Once I heard that, I started to make my main goal for my journey, regain my memories and find out who I truly am, there may be powerful people along the way but I'll do my best to fight them and win
