Surprise! Double Update!! I am on a role, and hopefully I can keep it this way. Kind of a boring chapter...actually both this one and 12 don't have anything major, but I hope you enjoy anyways!

"How soon?" Dabi asked while the others looked confused on why this was an issue.

Guardian shrugged. "Not for another couple of days I think since I don't have enough energy for it to happen all at once. Right now it's only a few feathers here and there, but I can feel it."

"Hold on you two, why is him molting a bad thing?" Hawks asked.

"Yes, an explanation would be nice," Eraserhead added. He kept looking between the two, but his expression was hard to read with the scarf covering half his face.

"Well, to be honest I'm not sure how often this happens. Only once during the time I was at the facility did it happen and it was after I took some serious injuries to my wings. The second time was after I escaped and staying with Dabi at the abandoned building. That time I hadn't been hurt, it just sort of happened," Guardian explained.

"Yeah, feathers everywhere. It looked like several birds had exploded in the room, like in the cartoons," Dabi said, shaking his head. "I think there's still some in the room, now that I think about it."

"Okay, so what's the concern?" Eraserhead asked.

"Part of the molting process, from what has happened before, is that my wings get really sensitive and will hurt. The pain usually spreads to my entire back and won't stop until new feathers grow in, so I end up not being able to do much. I would really like to not spend that time here, if I can help it." Guardian looked at Dabi again and then to Nezu. He rubbed his arms as a shiver traveled down his back and wings.

"Hm," Nezu said. "That does change things a bit."

Before he realized it, Guardian was at his home with his mother that night. The two of them were at the table enjoying dinner and his mom was talking to him about work. He could tell it was mostly to distract herself from the major changes that were already forming.

They had been escorted by both Nezu and Eraserhead, who had picked his mother up initially, along with the police. When they arrived it was to find that someone was there to install a new security system for the apartment. Next, were their phones. Nezu asked to see Inko's phone, quickly adding some kind of security to it and whatever else the mouse-bear could think of. Guardian ended up with a whole new phone since apparently his old phone had been found with his school stuff and had been smashed beyond repair.

Once the security system was finished installing, Nezu explained that the front door and all windows had sensors that would alert if someone is breaking in. Though there was an easy way to unlock those if they ever wanted to keep a window open. Along with those and the updated door camera, sensors had been placed in every room to detect for any quirk made portals.

Poor Inko had been overwhelmed with the sudden increase in technology. She did relax, though only a smidgen, when she was told that the cost of everything was covered by either the commission or Nezu himself. It also helped that she was free to call him if she ever needed help understanding the security system.

Before leaving, Eraserhead informed the two greenettes that both police and heroes would be patrolling the area more frequently. He also told Guardian that Hawks would be stopping by, most likely with Dabi in tow, to see how he was doing and to talk more about his wings.

Dinner was finished, dishes done and put up, and then they had moved to the living room with cups of tea. Guardian watched as his mother had to pause in her story about work to yawn. When he looked at the clock it read 11:24 pm.
