Licensing Exam part 1

*     *     *     *     *

It was the day of the hero licensing exam.

Currently, class 1A had just gotten off the bus with their cases and were waiting for Aizawa Sensei to give further instruction. Most were chatting with each other while trying to keep their nerves from bursting out like a volcano and others just seemed to be as relaxed as a cucumber. Of course you had Iida who was trying to keep everyone in order with his arm raised high and his voice doing little to get through the talking.

To his surprise, Midoriya not only was attending along with 1A, but he also had his own hero suit case. Though his case didn't have a seat number like the others. Instead, his case had a set of wings where the number should have been. He could also feel his nerves buzzing and he was pretty sure his heart was about to jump right out of his chest.

Just as Aizawa was about to tell them to head on in to get changed into their hero suits, he was interrupted by a woman. Miss Joke to be exact. The interaction between the two hero teachers was cute, or at least Midoriya thought it was funny considering he knew exactly why Aizawa wasn't ever going to marry the other hero. Or maybe she already knew and was just truly messing with the tired hero and hoping to finally get him to laugh.

One of Miss Joke's students suddenly appeared and started shaking people's hands and saying how cool it was to see the famous UA students in person. Though when he got to Bakugou his friendly gesture fell flat, which didn't surprise many.

Suddenly, the other hero student was in front of Midoriya.

"Hi, I'm Shindo. I watched the sports festival, but I don't remember you being there. I'm pretty sure I would remember such cool wings." The guy introduced himself with a bright smile and his hand out to shake.

Midoriya looked up at him, seeing the over exaggerated smile that didn't reflect in his eyes.

"That's because I didn't participate," was Midoriya's simple reply.

Before Shindo could say anything else, Aizawa interrupted saying they had to get inside.

Quickly, class 1A plus Midoriya walked up the steps and into the building before splitting up to the changing rooms.

Inside, the boys all found a section that had lockers set aside for them. Used to this routine, the boys of 1A opened the lockers and started to change out of their uniforms.

Midoriya, who was not used to this situation, hoovered by a locker.

Back in middle school and in the locker room there, he hadn't been comfortable. Which anyone would be if you were constantly mocked for your thin frame and anything else that someone decided to pick on, and he meant anything. That feeling was still present even though his frame was now more muscular and wasn't so pale as before.

A few lockers away, Bakugou noticed that the nerd wasn't changing, only standing at the locker looking around, his body tense like he was going to bolt any second. Then he remembered what usually happened in the locker rooms in middle school.

Bakugou finished putting his hero top and pants on, and then did something he wasn't sure was going to help but could only hope would.

Walking over to stand next to the greenette, he spoke quietly. "Hey, these guys aren't going to say or do anything, and if they do, it's probably going to be Dunce and no matter what it will be something ridiculous that can be laughed at. So, relax and get changed. We have a hero license exam to get to."

At that, he turned to finish putting the rest of his hero suit on. From the corner of his eye he watched Midoriya finally move to get changed. As the nerd started to undress, Bakugou turned and caught a few of the others glancing over. Standing up, Bakugou positioned himself to block as much as he could and glared at the others.
