(Day 47th)
Jimin's P.O.V
I woke up seemingly in a good mood, smiling throughout the morning. After washing and getting ready for the day, I left my room to get breakfast, eager to see Winter, who always put a smile on my face.
Walking elegantly, I maintained a calm exterior, but deep down, excitement and anticipation bubbled within me. As I approached Winter's room, a group of people passed by, carrying the injured forms of Jae, Yi-Zhuo, and Aeri. They were all unconscious, their faces pale and bruised.Concern flickered through me, but I continued on, my steps steady. As I got closer, I overheard the murmurs of the servants.
"How are we gonna tell Her Majesty?"
"She's gonna get furious."
"She's gonna kill us."
"I can't believe this."
My heart skipped a beat. "What happened?" I demanded, my voice low and authoritative. The servants turned towards me, their faces painted with panic. They looked at each other, unsure who should speak first.
One finally stepped forward, trembling slightly. "Y-your Majesty," he stammered.
I shoved the servant aside and stormed into Winter's room.
The sight before me was chaos. The bed was disheveled, sheets ripped off and pillows strewn across the floor. The bedside table had been knocked over with such force that its contents were scattered everywhere. A strange, dusty powder covered the floor, as if something had been thrown or shattered.
"Where's Winter?" I demanded, my voice trembling with urgency as the unknown powder slipped through my fingers to the floor.
Silence met my question.
"Where is Winter?!" I shouted, my eyes blazing as I glared at the servants who stood, wide-eyed and mute.
"W-we d-don't know," one of them stammered, but his hesitation only fueled my anger. I marched over to him and shoved him against the wall, my hands tightening around his throat.
"Why don't you know?! You're right here, right now!" I yelled, my voice echoing off the walls.
"I-it was l-like this wh-when we g-got here to cl-clean Miss Kim's r-room," he choked out as I tightened my grip. "C-captain J-Jae knows wha-what happened"
"Why do you think he would know?!" I demanded, my voice icy.
"W-we fou-found him in the r-room unco-onscious... P-please, Y-your Majesty," he begged, his voice barely a whisper.
I released him, watching as he slumped to the floor, gasping for air.
"Call all the royal guards to search for Winter!" I commanded, my voice brooking no argument as I turned on my heel and left to find Jae, who was likely in the royal physician's room.
