Time was irrelevant, nothing mattered at the moment.Kicking his feet out, enjoying the light breeze that flowed around him, he found it peaceful. Thoughts falling silent at the serenity of quietness he was experiencing around him. The water made for a gentle sound that coaxed him into a calm state.
What had happened earlier, the reveal of his photos wasn't so bad anymore, after surviving far worse he decided to not let it affect him as it did. Getting what he needed from the privacy, the walk, this bridge, he decided he should head back soon. The sun was setting, his stomach was growling and a pain was starting to form on the left side of his temple. A headache most likely.
He wondered if they'd be mad?
If they were, it could only be about not informing them. He was an adult. A capable adult who was able to be on his own. Been that way for years actually. What would change now? Yes, they were his soulmates but that didn't mean that he had to ask permission for everything, that one had to be with him at all times. If that were the case he would have to set some boundaries between them.
Sure being with them was amazing, beyond that even. There were no words to accurately describe it.
Saying that though, he was a loner, it's all he's ever known. So being thrust into a relationship with not one but two people was a huge change for him. Something that would take some time to get used to.
But one thing he didn't want them dictating was his time for himself. Sometimes he needed quiet and fresh air to just think. Therefore he left, got what he needed and now he was walking the long way back.
It was dark by the time he arrived. Thankfully he knew the buildings code and was able to make it to their floor with no problem. Getting inside was another.
Finger raised to the ring the bell he found himself afraid, worried for what was on the other side. They were probably mad, no, furious would be a better word to describe them. Closing his eyes he pushed the button and heard the little jingle, quick steps soon followed and Hoseok was greeting him. Eyes widening and then concern was crossing his features.
"Where have you been?" Hoseok asked as soon as the door was shut and he was slippping off his sneakers.
"I was just...Out?"
His answer didn't seem to satisfy as the elder looked him over once more before stalking off down the hallway.
But what else was he supposed to say? Was he supposed to tell him he was sitting on the very bridge that he used to image would take him away from the living?
No, he couldn't say that.
He knew he was going to be regretting not leaving a note. With a heavy heart and even heavier steps he took the stairs back to their room. Knocking on the closed door once before peeking inside.
No one.
"Huh?"
Deciding to take a shower for now, he quickly peeled off his clothing and stood under the water. Letting the hot water roll down his muscles, soothing the ache he was feeling. He couldnt get used to it, a warm shower. Sometimes back at his studio he'd be lucky if the water would be room temperature, this here was a luxury he thought he'd never experience again.
With a towel wrapped around his chest a few minutes later he opened the door, stumbling back at the pair of almond eyes, narrowed and red staring stark daggers through him. Blonde hairs stuck to the upper part of his forehead from sweat, chest rising and falling quickly, voice deep, laced with anger.
"Where were you? Do you have any idea how worried we were?" When he didn't answer Taehyung stepped closer. "Do you?!!"
The shout made him flinch. Eyes shutting on memory, face tilted downward slightly, arm raised at an angle that would block whatever was thrown his way. Only nothing came. Nothing but a soft touch, tender fingers wrapping around his wrist. Another set tilting his chin up.
