It was early morning when Megi woke up. She looked around for her phone and checked the time.

"Six o'clock huh?" She muttered. "So be it" She stretched like a cat and looked behind her as she stood up. Reiji was still asleep, cuddled in the blanket.

'Oh, young people aren't used to getting up early, are they?' She thought and went towards the bathroom. When she finished her morning toilette and entered the room, Reiji was already awake. He got up and went to the bathroom without a word. Without thinking about it, Megi looked into the closet to choose some clothes. She waited until the boy came out of the bathroom.

"So, shall we go? We'll eat breakfast outside" She asked.

Reiji just nodded and they left. While they were waiting for the train to arrive, Megi began to look at him. The boy was more handsome than the average Japanese man. He was a little bit taller than her, had raven hair and coal-black eyes.

"You know, for a boy you're not very talkative. Is something wrong?" She asked. Reiji replied without looking at her. "NO. Everything's all right. I just want to sort it all out in my head..."

"Oh....."

They boarded the train, that had just arrived, in silence. Megi's goal today was to visit Kyoto Botanical Gardens. But before they went there, they stopped at a family restaurant on the way.

"Order whatever you want, as long as you eat something it's fine, because we'll spend the rest of the day watching nature" Megi said without conviction, not counting on any answer. When the food arrived and she saw his portion, she thought. 'Well, at least he can eat. Well, maybe it will help him relax a bit'

The girl already had an idea of what to do to make Reiji stop looking tense at least a little. After breakfast, before they could enter the park, they had to cross the river on a stone path. The girl started waving her arms and humming the song from "Mission Impossible", pretending that she was trying to keep her balance. The children they passed halfway started laughing at her actions. When they arrived, Megi looked around like a little child and only "Oohs" and "Aahs" could be heard. The phone could barely keep up with taking photos. She was happy with herself and kept mumbling something under her breath in a language the boy didn't understand. Reiji watched from the sidelines of the girl's actions and her increasingly strange facial expressions. A slight smile appeared on his face and Megi didn't miss it.

"You finally smiled. Don't worry, when we get back, I'll offer you something, and until then, admire the views with me. And take a photo of me to prove I was here. Let them envy me ha, ha, ha" She laughed strangely, tilting her head back.

"Okay, give me the phone and stop being silly. People are looking at you" The boy said with a laugh.

"Let them look. That's why God gave them eyes, right, Reiji?" She asked the boy, and they went deeper into the park, laughing and taking photos.

"Oh my gosh, I'm hungry. How about a little something?" She asked after fwe hours of walking. Reiji nodded his head. They found restaurants nearby and ordered food.

"Mmm, good" Said Megi with her mouth full. "Honestly, I thought that I wouldn't like Japanese cuisine, but here's a surprise"  She eagerly took another bite into her mouth. Reiji smiled slightly and said. "You better eat or your good food will get cold"

"Ne ne ne" She grimaced at him and continued eating. After leaving the restaurant, she turned to the boy.

"Well... it looks like the day is slowly coming to an end. Come sit down, I'll offer you something" She pointed to the bench. "I see that you're worried about this 'escape' thing and I suspect that your family is looking for you and is worried. I also think that you don't want to leave it like this, but you don't want to go back, do you?"

"Well, yeah..." He nodded.

"We're far from where we're staying, so we'll do this. You'll go to a booth near the station, call home and tell them briefly and to the point. I'm fine, I'm safe, I'll come back when I cool down, don't look for me and you'll hang up. Once they hear this, they won't worry so much anymore"

After Reiji agreed, they went to buy tickets for the next train and a little before it arrived, Reiji went to make a call. After a while he returned with a serious face.

"I'm relieved. Thanks"

"No problem. You have to help each other" Said Megi, reassuring the boy. A few minutes later they were on the train.

"Do you want to talk a little? I am a good listener" She suggested. The boy looked at the girl and after a moment of thought agreed.

"Okay, but when we get back to the hotel. There are too many people here"

They got off the train and headed towards the apartment, stopping by the supermarket to buy something to eat. After all, such conversation may make you feel hungry or thirsty. When they left the store, it was already dark. On the way, they passed three boys who had caught Megi's eye.
