"What a chick" One of them exclaimed.

"Come have some fun with us, little one, we know a great place" Said the second one, grabbing the girl's hand.

"Let go!" She said in English. "Or you will regret it"

They laughed.  "Oh brave one, you got it. It's even better"

"And you, you idiot, get lost if you don't want to get hit" Said the third one, coming up to Reiji

"Oh really?" Reiji responded. "Then try me"  He took two steps back.

"You asked for it!" He shouted and swung at the boy, but he didn't have time to touch him because at that time Reiji's right leg landed on the smart guy's face. The boy fell flat.

"What the hell!?" Shouted the second one and rushed at him. Reiji dodged, kicked the boy in the leg so that he fell to his knees and when he raised his head, he scored a beautiful left hook that ended the fight. Megi, who was still trying to free herself from the last guy's grip, lost her patience, put her hands on his shoulders and kicked the boy with all her strength in the sensitive spot, making him kneel, and then punched him in the face.

"And who's the idiot now?" She muttered. "Come on, Reiji, let's go" She said proudly, but the boy noticed how her hands were shaking. 'It's good that Reiji was with me. I couldn't cope with them on my own' She thought. Fortunately, after a while they were already at the hotel.

"I'm going to the bathroom"  Megi said quietly as she left. She turned on the water and put her hand under it. She hissed slightly in pain. The hand was scratched and throbbing in pain.

"Shit! If I had known it hurt so much, I would have hit him with an open hand"  Megi said to herself. She took a few deep breaths to calm down and slowly left the bathroom. Reiji was sitting at a table with some bottle and a box.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Sit down and you'll see" He said.

When she sat down next to him, he took out a cotton pad, soaked it in the liquid from the bottle, took the girl's injured hand and gently placed it on.

"It may sting a little" He said, but the expression on Megi's face did not change. He then took a plaster out of the box and placed it on her hand, then stood up.

"I'm going to give it back to the reception"  After these words, he left the girl looking at him with squinted eyes.

"Well, well. I didn't expect that" Said Megi. "But it's not time for that. Now it's time for a serious conversation"

When Reiji returned to the room, Megi was sitting at the table with the things they bought some time ago in the store. The boy sighed deeply, sat down at the table and started talking.

"I ran away because I was fed up with all of it. They constantly require me to learn everything I need, to follow in my father's footsteps. I have no respite. I don't have time to meet my friends. I can't even do things that make me happy because I don't have time for them. My schedule is full of activities from morning to night and when I do everything, I have no strength for anything else and I fall asleep in a second"

"Life. But what do you expect from a rich family? Parents want their child to be perfect"  Megi interjected.

"Wait" He said. "And how do you know that I come from a rich family?"

"You know, security guards wouldn't run after a poor person. Besides, considering your age, you speak English fluently and can fight. Am I thinking wrong?" She asked with a little smile.

"Oh... that's actually right"

"So, you don't raise your objections out loud, or do they just not listen to you when you express your opinion?"

"Actually, I never told my father this, because his subordinate, who makes sure I do everything correctly, always stopped me from doing so"

"Oh. So there is a person who is always able to silence you so as not to cause a problem for the boss - she said - Tell me, how old are you anyway?"

"Eighteen"

"Well, in my country you would already be an adult. Listen, you need to tell this 'subordinate' of your father that you need to talk to him like a man to a man and no matter what he answers you, he is your father and you won't cause any trouble by talking to him. You just need to reassure him that you are responsible and know what you want to do. It's obvious that he wants you to follow in his footsteps and if you assure him that you will continue to fulfill your responsibilities, you will definitely come to an agreement"

Reiji smiled slightly. "You're right. I acted rashly and now that I've talked to you, I think it might work out"

"I think so to"  Megi said with a smile. "Well, let's eat something, take a bath and sleep, because I'm exhausted after walking around the park all day"  She took a bottle to drink.

"Megi?"

"Mmm?"

"How old are you anyway?"

"Ugh!" The girl choked on the water she was drinking.

"Jesus Reiji, have mercy! And at a time like this. Don't you know, boy, that you don't ask women for their age?" Said the girl, grimacing.

"Boy?" He was surprised.

"Well... let's just say I'm older"

"I can see that" He muttered. Megi narrowed her eyes hostilely, grabbed a bag of chips from the table and threw it at the boy.

"Don't be so smart" She said with slight irony. "You'd better go take a bath"

"Ladies first" He replied, grinning.

"Ha! Na żarty się mu zebrało. Ty, ty, ty gówniarzu jeden" She said in Polish. He looked at her questioningly and Megi stuck her tongue out at him and disappeared behind the bathroom door.

"What language was that?" Thought the boy. "Oh well, I'll find out soon anyway. After all, that's what family is for" As he said this, he scratched his chin with a hand. Meanwhile, Megi sat in the bathtub and muttered to herself at the boy until her anger disappeared. When she got out of the bath, she changed into sweatpants and a T-shirt and then started unfolding the futon. Meanwhile, Reiji was taking a bath. When he entered Megi's room, she was already asleep, hugging the pillow. The boy stared at the girl for a moment.

'She's an interesting person' he thought. Reiji no longer resembled the boy Megi had met at the beginning.

'Oh, I'll have to be more careful' thought Megi, who pretended to be asleep and felt the boy's eyes on her. 'Something tells me that everything will be sorted out soon, but before that happens, I'll have to say goodbye. I'm not going to get involved in anything. I hope it's not too late' That's how another day passed.
