Chapter 13

During these few days, she began to feel something she shouldn't have felt, especially towards a certain man staring at her. She knew nothing good would come of it. She couldn't let her feelings run wild. She had already made one mistake and she still had to live with it.

Reiji will probably be furious when he finds out' Megi thought. After they finished drinking tea, Tetsuo-san returned to his activities, leaving Megi and Ren alone.

There was an awkward silence. The girl didn't know what to do with herself, so she decided to go to the bathroom, which she had been doing incredibly often lately.

"I'm going to take a bath, please don't come in" She said.

"Can I join?"

Megi slowly turned her head towards Ren.

"Sure... Why not, after all, I won't be here tomorrow" She said ironically. "No... Wait... it's not like that... ahhh, You must be dreaming!" She replied angrily and closed the door behind her. Unsure whether the man would come in, she wrapped one of the towels around herself before getting into the bathtub. Luckily she did, because after a while Reiji ran into the bathroom.

"What are you doing huh!?" He started angrily. "I take care of you, feed you, clothe you, and you want to leave me just like that? I do not agree! You're staying and that's it!"

As quickly as he appeared, he also disappeared. Megi sighed heavily. 'Maybe I would stay if I could...' She thought. 'Why are they making everything so difficult? It was supposed to be a normal trip...'

She didn't stay in the bathtub for long. She got dressed and went into the room, lost in thought.

"I brought you dinner" She heard. Ren was sitting at a table with meats served in various forms. Megi's eyes lit up and her mouth opened. Ren laughed.

"Reiji said you liked meat, but I didn't know you liked meat that much"

"I love meat!" She replied, looking at the food.

"Then sit down and eat" He encouraged. The girl sat down at the table and started eating with a big smile. She didn't see Ren looking at her smugly.

"Mmm! My lovely meat!" She said with her mouth full, constantly taking new bites. The man looked at her with a smile, wondering if she would be able to eat it all. Surprisingly, there was nothing left on the plates.

"I'm so full!" She took a breath.

"You made Reiji quite angry" Ren started.

Megi rolled her eyes. "I can't fulfill all the teenager's desires. Just because he thought I would stay with him doesn't mean I will. I have a house, a family, a job. Should I leave it because he wants it?" Megi asked.

"Nothing is impossible for us" Ren replied.

"But the person concerned should agree voluntarily, right?"

"It doesn't work like that with us..."

"Yeah right! Because if you like a woman, take her by the hair and take her to the cave. Who would ask for her opinion?" She said with increasing anger. "I'm sorry it turned out this way, but I won't change my mind. Tomorrow I'm going back to the hotel and we won't see each other again. She felt a strange sadness inside herself, but she tried not to show it.

After these words, she got up from the table and went to lie down. Ren collected the plates and left without a word.

"How they like to make everything difficult!" She sighed heavily, slowly falling asleep. While she was sleeping, she felt someone moving around her. She turned around and saw Reiji cuddled up next to her. She made a resigned face.
