Welcome, you've officially reached the reason why I rewrote this book!

I think I went a little too fast in the last few chapters but I don't want this book to be too long.

(Romeo's POV)

"Yeah, that shot looked nice." I nod pointing to James' screen. "Pick that one." Currently, we're editing a video that we were filming.

This marks the absolute beginning of F2KE:RT!

We were on a roadtrip when we met this random dude, invited him to come with us, and ended up making a group out of it. His name's Kanai, he's kind of loud and crazy but I think that just means he fits in with the rest of us.

And I'm not being completely biased about it because I semi have a crush on him.

It's not a real one, it's a 'wow, we just discovered a decent person with talent out in the wilderness and he's so fun' kind of crush.

"Done," James says. "Post it?"

"Yes!" Marcus agrees and we all gather around for the instant watch party.

Before the video can start though, the front door swings open. We all turn to see... Drizzy... walking in. All we can do is sit in shock as he walks in and sits down like nothing happened.

"Where have you been?" James finally asks.

"Yeah, seriously! You couldn't have given us a call? The only reason we knew you were okay was because we saw you post VERY rarely on your TikTok!" I exclaim.

"...I tweeted too." Drizzy says.

"That doesn't count, they were retweets." I roll my eyes.

"I just needed a break--"

"You had a five year break." Marcus says.

"Whatever, I'm here now. And I missed you guys so..." He holds his arms out and all of us hug him. Noticing Kanai, Drizzy says, "Who the fri--" he breaks from the hug.

"This is Kanai, he's apart of the new group," I explain, "we would've told you all about the new plan but... you disappeared so..."

"We just posted our first video, do you wanna watch it with us?" Kanai asks him.

Drizzy shrugs. "I guess."

We all sit on the couch-- or near it, I snagged a seat on it and so did Marcus. Drizzy almost did but Kanai beat him to it as he sat next to me with his arm around me. Drizzy blinks at him but it goes unnoticed as Kanai says, "Everyone ready?"

Drizzy just sits next to James on the loveseat while Draco sits on the floor. "Woo! Play it!" Draco calls out and James hits play as it plays on the TV.

After it's over and we've all complimented it's amazingly good work, I turn to Drizzy. "So, what'd you think?"

"I think you guys turned into weirdos and are falling downhill rapidly." Drizzy says.

"Nah, I think you're just jealous." I smirk at him and he looks me and I look at him.

And he looks at me.

And I look at him.

And he-- says, "No."

"Nah, bro probably jealous for other reasons." Draco snickers. "You were this close Driz," he says pinching the air, "but you should've came back when you were supposed to come back."

"What are you talking about?" Drizzy looks at him.

"You know what I'm talking about." Now, Draco smirks. "Step into my office because we, my friend, have a lot of catching up to do."

"Wait, no-- we all have catching up to do." I say.

"Yeah, well, I called it first-- Victoria Justice-- because he and I were the best of friends until the misunderstanding years ago that I couldn't clear up." Draco adds.

"And I don't care how long ago," Drizzy says. "If I'm catching up with anyone first, it's... ...Marcus."

"What? No. Why me?" Marcus asks.

"You don't wanna catch up?" Drizzy asks him.

"I do but I don't wanna go first." He laughs. "I've done nothing over the past five years."

"Fine, James."

"I would," James says, "but... ...Draco just texted me saying he'll give me 50 dollars to not go with you."

"No, I didn't," Draco blinks at him before James just stares at him. "Oh, yeah, I did."

"I'd still catch up with Romeo AND Kanai before I catch up with you." Drizzy says. 

Draco rolls his eyes. "Alright, it's not catching up, it's just talking." Draco nods for him to follow him and Drizzy reluctantly goes.

"I wish we knew Drizzy was coming," I say, "we could've planned something for him. It's his own fault for disappearing but it's been so long."

"We missed all of his reactions to being out. We can't even treat him to some nice 'out of jail finally and I can finally eat good food' food." Marcus adds.

"It sucks but at least he's back." James shrugs. "We can still go get food with him."

"It's not the same..." Marcus sighs.

"Yeah... I don't even really want to plan anything anymore. He's lost all right. He disappeared because he needed a break? He was away from everything." I say.

"I don't know, maybe it's because I just want one but I still think he could use a party." Kanai inputs.

"Okay, fine." I sigh. "We'll plan it in secret. It'll be a surprise party."

A/N

The rewrite is so funny because I literally wrote that there was a new group when Drizzy came back but instead it was called UnF2ke and the new guy's name was Nick.

I think Kanai is a better name though.

And I don't know him SUPER well because he needs to go live way more often but I have my eye glued to everyone's insta including his soooo I'll figure out his personality eventually.
