(Romeo's POV)

And after having to wait another month, we finally sat in front of the judge again. Drizzy seemed pretty surprised about the whole ordeal. I knew he would, all of agreed to tell him nothing.

The whole thing went pretty quick.

Riva explained the whole situation, the hospital tried to back themselves but couldn't stand a CHANCE against the evidence. The person Riva found to do the filing was even on stand as a witness and so were some of the doctors that did the autopsy.

One of them even cracked under pressure.

Drizzy's coming home today.

"Alright," the judge says, "Dropping the charges of second degree murder, I hereby shorten Dresden Jackson's sentence to 5 years on account of assault."

My eyes and mouth pop open.

"And the hospital will pay the family of Josh Wilcox $500,000 for negligence and emotional distress. Case closed." The judge hits the gavel and starts leaving.

We try to make it to Drizzy but the guards are quicker this time. Drizzy turns to all of us with a thankful smile before being dragged out of the room.

I turn to James, Marcus, and Draco as Riva walks over. Riva sighs. "I'm sorry, guys, I wish I could've done more."

Trying to stay positive, I mumble, "It's half off of his time. You did everything you could, we all did."

"I blame the judge." Draco glares where the judge was once sitting. "We didn't even get to talk to him."

"Do you even want to?" I ask him. "It's been two months-- or more-- and you still haven't written Drizzy a single letter."

"He said write if we have something to write about." Draco points out.

"Yet you wanna talk." I scoff.

"Yeah, talk not write a dumbarse letter-- Are you done?"

"Yes. Sorry." I sigh.

"You guys can't stand here, we need to get ready for the next case." A security guard ushers us out.
