"Hey Champ! What's new lad?" I said as I picked up the phone from my desk. I walk over to the mirror and grab my comb holding my cell with the support of my shoulder.
"I was awarded for having my books on time by my teacher! Oh and Elijah invited me to his party next week!!! Will you help me pick a present out for him this week?" Luke pleaded through the phone. I stopped combing my hair and frowned because there was no way I could come home this week considering I just left it two days ago. The school gave us only two days to settle in and in that time I had to buy my books, get my school ID, and schedule. I am still not even close to finishing...
"I wish, but my classes are starting today and I'm sure I will be swamped the rest of the week, can Jane maybe help you?"
"Ya, it's cool," I heard him say softly. I put the brush down again and gave my full attention to Luke. I sat on a reading chair I shared with my roommate.
"Listen, I'll be back in no time. Just hang in there for a while. When I come back you and I are going to spend every day, every minute, and every second together! You're going to wish I never came back!"
"Not possible!" he says laughing, making me smile. "How's your dorm, I don't see why you chose a dorm over dad's offer in getting your own apartment."
"I wanted the full college experience, shoot me for wanting a normal experience for once." I scoffed running a hand through my hair.
"Alright, alright. Don't get you knickers in a knot. How's your roomy? Do you have one?" he asked eagerly.
"Ya he's actually awesome. I think I'll get along with him pretty good, his name's Alec. Maybe you'll meet him someday." I sneaked a glance at my watch and saw that I had five minutes to get to my first class. "Bloody hell, I gotta run champ! Love you!"
"Okay love you too! Luck on your first day!"
"Thanks!" I hung up and slip my phone into my pocket grabbing my shoulder bag and slinging it over my head sprinting out of the door after fumbling to lock it.

After completing two of my classes, the term exhausted had a new meaning entirely. I did not want to hear anything about business or math. I headed over to the coffee cart that stood outside of my previous class. As I stood in line I fished for my wallet through my shoulder bag, and grabbed two euros out of my wallet. I looked up to see I had reached the front.
"Black coffee please, to go," I said smiling at the young woman. She just stared at me for a while with her mouth open and it made me chuckle. "Ma'am?"
"Right, sorry!" she said shaking as she took the two euros out of my hand. I stepped aside and waited for my coffee. I pulled my phone out and looked through my messages until she finished.
"All done!" I turned to see the girl grinning, holding my order in her hand. She was pretty, long black hair and blue eyes. I looked behind me to see if I would be stalling but there was no one else in line so I decided I would give it a go. Besides I had thirty minutes before my next class.
"Why thank you..." I say looking for her name tag.
"Elena," she said finishing my sentence with a sweet smile. I grinned back at her as I grabbed my coffee out of her hand making sure to touch her fingers. She looked straight in my eyes and smiley coyly.
"Well Elena, are you a student here?"
"Yes," she leaned closer. "It's my second year here and I work at the coffee stand part time." I heard a tapping sound and saw a small line had formed. I had to be quick.
