She looks away from him, and then David stands next to Lupa.
"Noah has a short temper". "Well he hasn't any parents, they died about 6 months ago," David whispered.
Lupa looked around at David with a serious face, "and I didn't let him talk about it."
Lupa went to sit and eat her lunch, and David sat opposite her. She hears David's throat clear, and then she looks up at him.
"If you are OK, can I ask?" he says.
"She nods."
"How did you get your scar?" he says
She looks into his eyes. "My life as a warrior," she says in a deep voice.
Noah hears Lupa's deep voice remark about her scar. He looks at the group of boys playing football when he hears them laugh out loud outside of the cafeteria
Lupa looked up at the group of boys playing football who laughed loudly, David turned to look at them.
"Please don't say it again," he groaned quietly.
" Who doesn't have parents?" one of the group of boys says.
The group of boys laugh and slap Noah's back and his face drops. Noah slowly turns to the group of boys with a serious face. Then one of the boys sits opposite Noah, steals his lunch and eats it in front of him. The boys notice a new girl sitting with David.
The group walk over to Lupa and David and grabs David's shoulders, then shakes him, making his food drop everywhere.
Then boys get hyped up and whistle loudly.
" Finally, you got a girl," they chuckle, "and who is she?" said the boys.
"Her name is Lupa," David says
But Lupa was ignored completely. The boy who led the group came alongside her.
"Hello beautiful, my name is Dan," he says
He held his hand out to shake hers, but Lupa just looked at it, ignored him and went back to her lunch. Dan stood up and walked around the back of David and put his arms around his neck making him choke. Then Dan's knuckles rubbed David's head. Lupa stared at Dan until he let go of him. David tried to get his breath back from being choked and rubbed his neck.
Dan snickers grabs David's apple juice, and starts pouring it over David's head. But Lupa quickly stood up and grabbed Dan's wrist. Noah was alarmed. He looked at Lupa, and as she stood up her chair fell, making a loud crash, everyone looked at her and everyone fell silent. All eyes were on Lupa and Dan.
She stared at Dan and then squeezed his wrist hard, and as she did so, Noah saw her eyes slowly begin to glow.
Dan flinched because Lupa's hands were squeezing his wrist so hard. The move made Dan fall ground. Dan stood up in a panic, holding his waist because he was injured.
