The sun went down, and soon it started getting dark. The moon began to light up the forest and shine on the lake. Later, at midnight, Lupa was lying on her bed, but she could not sleep. She stared at the ceiling, thinking about what her dad had said. Eventually, she got up from her bed and tiptoed downstairs, making sure not to make any noise because her parents were sleeping next door.

She wore a flannel jacket, a black vest, and pants. She went outside to the walkway porch and sat on Dad's rocking chair. She watched the moonlight and stars. Everything was silent, only the gentle wind could be heard. Suddenly, she heard something passing by and noticed a pair of glowing gold eyes in front of her. It was a great wolf, about 10 feet in length, staring at her. Then the wolf ran away. Lupa, who wasn't wearing any shoes, ran after the wolf through the forest. She didn't pay attention to the roots and tripped, spraining her ankle. She tried to stand up and held onto a tree. Her clothes were now covered in mud and dirt. She looked around, but the great wolf had disappeared into the forest. She sensed something nearby and followed the smell. She noticed blood on a tree and touched it with her fingers and smelled it. She looked around for the great wolf, but it had disappeared.

She walked back to the cabin, and once she arrived, she went to the bathroom. She took off her clothes and showered to wash off the dirt.

When she finished her shower, she put on a flannel short and a white oversized shirt that showed her shoulders. Her wet hair was in a messy bun. She went downstairs to the kitchen, grabbed some ice, and put it in a bag along with a towel. She walked to the dinner table, grabbed a chair, and sat with her leg up, placing the ice bag on her ankle. She sighed, then grabbed a jar of homemade lemon juice and poured a full glass, drinking it all because she was very thirsty. She started to feel sleepy, and her eyes began to blink as she fell asleep on the chair.

In the morning, Achak woke up, got dressed, then walked downstairs. He noticed his daughter was sleeping on a chair, her arms crossed on the table, her head down on her arms. Her dad gently shook her. Lupa opened her eyes and looked at her dad.

"Why do you sleep here?" he says.

"I couldn't sleep last night," she says.

He noticed her ankle with an ice bag, wrapped in a towel, but it had already melted.

"And this," he says "his finger points to her ankle".

"I tripped over a root in the forest," she says.

"What were you doing in the forest?" he says.

"Well, I went downstairs to the outside pouch and sat in your rocking chair, then I heard a quick patter past me, I saw a great wolf with golden glowing eyes. I chased the great wolf, but I tripped over some roots, and the great wolf disappeared. Then I smelled blood. I followed it and found blood on a tree," she says.

"Well please be careful," he says.

Lomasi came downstairs and noticed they were there.

"Good morning sweet," she said, and pecked Lupa's cheek.

"I will make toast for breakfast, and you need to get dressed, and get ready for school" she says.

Lupa nodded, stood up, and walked upstairs to her bedroom.

She put on a long-sleeved shirt, black warm leggings, an oversized brown leather Navajo bomber jacket, with white fur-lining, brown boots with warm socks, small gold feather earrings and her hair is down with waves in it. When she finishes dressing, she does a little makeup, more natural, only black eyelashes and a little highlighter on her cheeks and her nose is shining.

She was completely ready to go. Downstairs in the kitchen, her mum gave her lunch, because she said the school's lunch wasn't nice, and put it in her backpack. Then she picked up the toast and ate it, then had a mug of coffee, drank half, and put it down on the table.

She said, "I'll see you later". She kissed her parents, then they waved goodbye to her from the cabin, walked to the garage and pulled the big slide door open. went into the barn and got her motorbike. She kicked her foot against the motorbike's stand and pushed it out of the barn. Then she switched it on and let it warm up. She put her leg over the motorbike, then did her hair up in a ponytail.

Her mum runs to catch up to Lupa before she leaves for school, and shouts "LUPA HOLD ON!" Lupa looked around at her mum.

" Can you go to the shop and get something after school finishes please, because I have a council meeting? I'll give you a list" she says.

Lupa nodded, picked up the list and put it in her pocket, zipping it closed to make sure not to lose it. She put her helmet on, and with a "Click", fastened the buckle, closed her visor, and put the bike into gear, slowly moving off as her mum watched.

Lupa rode carefully down the road, then slowly stopped at the T-junction. She made sure it was clear, and no cars were approaching, then turned left, accelerating down the windy road.
