Chapter 7: A Mom's Advice

Oh my gosh, you guys! We are almost to 40 reads! That makes my heart so happy that there are people reading my work, especially since it is fan fiction. No, seriously, starlings, I might actually cry tears of joy! So, to celebrate, I want to do a special Q&A! I know, I know, we're only seven chapters in, but I'll probably give it a few weeks before we do a Q&A. You guys can ask questions about me, the characters, or questions for my OCs (this is something I've seen in Secret Wings on Wattpad). However, do note that the questions for characters will only answer questions that don't affect the plot, just because we don't need any spoilers, starlings. Olivia sighed as she finished scrubbing the walls of the dojo. It now looked like the Nindroids had ever attacked. The whole village had been working hard to clean up the debris from the attack. It had taken many strong men to reattach the water wheel, but Misako was grateful.

"Hey Liv, are you finished?" Anne asked as she entered the dojo. Olivia turned to face Anne. The blue-eyed girl blinked, waiting for the blonde to respond.

"Yeah, I just finished. What's up?" Olivia asked.

"Misako and I are going to get groceries for dinner tonight, so if you'd like to train while we're out, now is time," Anne replied. Olivia nodded.

"Sounds good. I'll go grab the book," she responded. The girls walked down the hallway, parting ways when Anne joined Misako. Olivia grabbed her mother's book and returned to the empty dojo. She opened the book and went to the section about power growth. Olivia got into position, crossing her legs, bowing her head, and connecting her hands. She started focusing her power, willing her power to show her a glimpse of the future. The moment itself had no relevance to Olivia, but the more she focused her power, the longer she could see. Olivia knew her power was growing every time she sat in her meditative state.

Olivia remembered the day she discovered her powers. It had been a dark and stormy night. Olivia had been sleeping in bed. The vision had seemed to be a nightmare. Olivia woke up screaming, scaring her parents, who came running into her room. Her mom quickly forced William out of the room once Olivia had described the dream. That was when Olivia began training her powers, learning to control them so the nightmares would stop, and she would only see the future when she wanted to. Olivia continued to train. Once she felt that she had trained enough, Olivia turned to the back of the book, where she would write down what she had seen in her vision. As she wrote down her vision, Olivia thought about the first vision she had ever had. She had seen the images of the Overlord during his takeover of Ninjago City. The Overlord, in his final battle with Lloyd, had been her first vision. "Why were you my first vision? Was it because you were going to come back someday?" Olivia wondered aloud.

"Who are you talking about?" Misako asked as she entered the dojo. Olivia whipped her head, surprised to see the older woman. Olivia looked to see if Anne was behind her, ready with an answer to cover for Olivia's blunder. She felt defeated when she didn't see the blue-eyed girl.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to say that out loud. I thought I was alone," Olivia replied, hoping Misako would not ask any more questions. Misako walked over toward the blonde as she stood up.

"So, would you like to tell me who you were talking about?" she asked, placing a hand on Olivia's shoulder. Olivia wondered what to do. She was caught. Her power had been exposed. But this could be an opportunity to ask Misako for some advice—advice Olivia really needed. Olivia took a deep breath.

"The Overlord. I was going over some of my first visions, and I realized my first vision was the Overlord during his final battle with Lloyd," Olivia said, looking away from Misako.
