Perdita had left the hospital wing pretty quickly once they had gotten their new leg.

K had protested heavily against it, and Aki had hurriedly muttered all the wounds that needed healing, but Perdita was fine.

Sure Jagger had caught her off guard a few times and she had gotten thrown like a rag doll, but that was only because Perdita had gotten a bit rusty is all. That would've never happened back in Reamose.

And sure, maybe her back did feel like it had been crushed under a rock, and her hands wouldn't stop shaking, but that was fine. They had just been caught off guard a few times is all... this didn't mean Perdita had gotten weak... no... of course not...

That would be ridiculous.

Because if she had gotten weak then all that training... was for nothing...

There was a nock on the door to Perdita's dorm, and she opened it to find Aarav and Fjord standing outside.

"Can we come in?" Aarav asked and Perdita only shrugged

"Suit yourself"

Aarav took a seat on Perdita's bed, fiddling with his scarf while Fjord laid down on the carpet, eyeing K suspiciously.

"So uhh, Jason told me you fought Jagger"

"Yep"

"Are you okay?"

"Of course I am"

"Really? Angie told me you got thrown into a wall twice"

"It was just a scratch"

Aarav gave her a deeply worried look that reminded Perdita of... her...

"Perti, I know you're strong, but Jagger isn't someone to underestimate... I just... I want to make sure you're ok"

Perdita looked away... while she trusted Aarav. She didn't know him well, and if she opened up he could very easily drop the nice guy act and use that moment of weakness against her.

"Hey... maybe after school we can go out and get something to eat" Aarav offered.

In all honesty Perdita didn't really like how the food in this world tasted, the meat was fine, unless it was that heavily processed shit that had way too much oil mixed in it.

But she might as well. After all K had been nagging her about getting out of her comfort zone for a while now.

"Sure, what do have in mind?"

"Uhh, maybe some ice cream?"

Whatever that was it sounded crunchy.

"Sure, I don't care"

Aarav smiled, "alright then! See you after school"

"Mhm"

As soon as Fjord and Aarav left her dorm Perdita crumpled into a half-ball on their bed.

"Perti! You ok?" K asked

"I'm fine, it was just a scratch"
