The entire time Perdita was preparing to go, K was trying to talk them out of it.

"I just don't think it's a good idea listening to Hayano!"

"They're the animal symbol of a Cyan God right? That means it's fine."

"You don't even know which Cyan God's animal symbol that is!"

"You're right, but honestly I don't care"

"You will when it gets us all killed" K huffed

"What do you mean by that?"

"I mean, the only Cyan God in history whose animal symbol is a wolf is Cobalt!"

"Cobalt? Who's that"

K let out a loud sigh, "how do you not know who Cobalt is!?"

"We didn't believe Cyan Gods existed back in Reamose. Same with Watchers and Listeners. So excuse me if I don't know as much about them as everyone else in Egrog."

"Alright fair enough. To make it brief, Cobalt is one of the reincarnations of Bayern, you know the first Cyan God to ever turn into a Watcher!"

"And how does that affect anything? Reincarnations of Cyan Gods take on new titles, looks, and names if I'm remembering correctly."

"Fair, but that book never said anything about their personality changing!"

"I still don't see why the fuck I should care" Perdita said, finally tying the last lace on her shoe and walking out her dorm room door with K following reluctantly behind.

Along the way they ran into Aarav and Fjord. Apparently Aarav had needed to do some extra work before he could leave, making him a bit behind.

The two then met up with the rest of the group out by the field.

"I wonder when exactly that wolf guy will show up." Juliana mused

"It said when the morning star is at its peak. So I assume that means we're leaving at noon" Aarav rationalized before turning and whispering to Perdita, "the morning star is the sun right?"

Perdita nodded before turning to look at Angie.

"Why did you decide to go? Last I checked you're not that close to any of us"
