Michaela POV - three days later

"Okay, and if you'll step into this room." A police officer guides me and Alex.

She gestures to the table and I look down then walk forward and sit in the chair.

Alex sits next to me and I just reach over, grabbing her hand.

"Hey, it's okay. I'll be with you the whole time." She leans down and whispers.

The door opens and two officers walk in.

I immediately tense up because the male officer scares me.

I feel a squeeze and glance at Alex who looks worried, but is also trying to calm me down.

"You know what, officer Martinez, I'll talk to her." I hear the female officer say.

I hear footsteps and glance up to only see her.

"Hi, I'm officer Beck, do you remember me?" She asks.

I think about it and then nod.

'She was there that night.'

"It's nice to see you again and it's nice to meet you, Mrs. Carrasco."

"Nice to meet you too." I hear Alex say and glance at her.

I sigh and turn back to the floor.

I feel Alex's hand leave mine and she starts rubbing circles on my back.

"Michaela here, isn't really up to talking. In fact, she hasn't really spoken since that night is my understanding." Alex says.

"She will, however, communicate non-verbally." She continues.

I bite my lip and sigh.

'I'm so defective.'

"That's all okay. We just need her to identify her perpetrators in a few line ups. We want to make sure we take down every individual who was involved in this." Officer Beck says.

"Are you up for some photos, Michaela?" She asks me.

I bite my lip and finally nod.

"Okay, great."

I glance up when I see a paper with eight different photos on it.

I bite my lip when I can the photos and slowly come across his face.

I freeze.

"Michaela? I need you to point. Did any of these men assault you?"

I scrunch my nose up at that word.

I feel a squeeze and glance at Alex who is giving me such a supportive look.

I turn back and nod.

"Okay. Who?" Officer Beck asks me.

I bite my lip and lift my hand up, pointing at the man who I saw on a weekly basis.

"That's good. Really good."

She pulls the paper away and slides another one.

I whine.

"Take your time, Michaela."

I stare at the man who I know as a girl in my math class' dad.

'This is going to destroy her family.'

"Michaela? Do you see anyone here who hurt you?" Alex asks.

I sigh and eventually nod.

I point and identify the man.
