Old Memories

Brent: where are we going..and why you are not let me drive...

Aiden: why are you afraid that I will crash the car...

Brent: no boss...

Aiden: Brent...we are not in office..you don't need to address me as boss everytime.. can't I spent some time with my old friend...

Brent: that's not I mean but... actually I was wondering...why you and Roselie suddenly curious about my marriage..

Aiden: don't you want to have someone in your life...

Brent: you know everything Aiden..

Aiden: I know...but I also believe that you should marry someone..

Brent: I don't want to..

Aiden: but we want..and mostly Rose want to see you happy... Don't you fulfill her wish...

Brent: I know...

Aiden: she has found someone who will be a perfect match for you..

Brent: WHAAATT

Aiden: heyyyy.... don't yell at me... Atleast for her sake... Meet that girl for once.. if you don't like her.. reject her...it's simple...

Brent: but...Aiden...you should explain her...

Aiden: Sorry...but I can't break her heart...so please...just for once... I promise If you don't like that girl...I will handle rose...

Brent: fine...

Aiden continued driving with a smirk.. it was very difficult to take Brent away from work.. Aiden had to make so many valid excuses to bring him... because Brent was avoiding Aiden..from the morning after that marriage topic..

Finally he got the chance and took Brent with him.. while looking outside... Brent notice the familiar road...which he has stopped coming across.. he looked around and remember his old memories...

Away from the city.. Brent was following some one as per Aiden's order... The person was suspected as a traitor for them..so he was following him secretly... To watch his activities... That person came to the park with his small son to play while he was talking in his phone...

Brent was away from him notice his every action.. suddenly he felt a ball hit his leg...he grab the ball and look up to find a girl came running to him.. Brent was looking at her without blinking... The girl was looking so innocent and beautiful..

"excuse me sir..can you please give me back the ball"

Her voice was like honey to him..he forward his hand and gave her ball...she took that ball and went away after saying thanks to him...
But her small touch on his hand gives him a weird sensation... He hushed the thoughts and looked back to the man who was now going away with his son.. Brent also start following him but turned to watch that girl again...

Brent was unable to remove that girl face from his mind.. next day he again went to that park on the same time...and luckily he found her but she was not playing... She was sitting on the bench and looking at the kids playing..

He slowly approach and sit next to her..but she not look at him... So he took a chance to talk to her...

"you are not playing today.."

She turned to see him..and smiles..

"no actually I got tired that's why.."

"so you came here daily to play with kids..."

"actually that two kids are my neighbour..their mom has some important work in her office so she was unable to take them here..so she ask me to bring them her for some days.."

"Ohh..this park is very beautiful..you live nearby.."

"Yes.. are you new here??"

"no..but I like this place so I came...well my name in Brent.."

"hii..I am Ava..."

From then he started coming to the park regularly to meet her..she was also getting used to see him there.. they started sharing lots of opinions and thoughts...which bonding them in a new and special relation...

Ava also become very friendly with him.. she always kept waiting for him in the park..and they spent some time together.. Ava started some feelings for him but couldn't understand that time..

One day Brent tell her that he was going to another city for work for few days..so he will see her after coming back..but during this time Ava's father got transferred and they moved to the new city... Ava didn't have his contact details nothing to inform him...which make them separate...

After coming back...Brent tried to find her but got nothing...he felt alone...and cursing himself to share any contacts with her... Few months later when he couldn't find her he stopped searching..

Car stopped in front of the park and Brent came out from his thoughts and look around...it's the same park where he met Ava..her face each and every moment he spent with her coming in his mind...

Brent: wh..why are we here..?

Aiden: Rose said she came here with Julie with her new friend.. so she asked to join them..

Brent: you mean the girl which Roselie has selected for me...

Aiden: wow..you are really smart

Brent: I don't want to go inside...

Aiden: why...

Brent not able to tell him about this place...he stopped coming here after Ava left..he never came to this direction just to avoid that memories...

Aiden: come on..we will leave soon..only 10mins..For rose...come..

Brent hummed and went to the park with Aiden...he look around and saw kids playing around..some adults were taking evening walk...Aiden excused to make a call...

Brent was standing alone when a small girl came near him with a ball...

"uncle...will you play with me please.. my friends are gone.."

Brent saw the small girl and smiled..he can't deny and start playing with her..she was laughing and running here and there to catch the ball...

Brent throw the ball with a little force..which went above from the girl's height..she ran to take the ball.. Brent also look at her and than the ball...

The ball stopped near someone's foot..and Brent moved his eyes from the ball to the person face.. he was shocked....
