The gentle pitter patter on the tin roof shed of this shop was peaceful.
The scent of the wet earth soothing the dusted air of the afternoon.

It started pouring heavily a good few minutes back when we left the park.

Thinking back to the goofball situation that happened back at the park, I cringed at the memory, but I'd be lying if I said by the end of it, due to reasons unknown, I didnot feel happier. Calm altogether.

Aashu's smile glanced back at me as I remember the moment, my adu's outburst, which used to happen so often back in the day, I truly felt relieved, not that I am not dreading the conversation which will follow us back at home.

And that boy, he was such an overexpressive version of my Aashu, I am grateful Aashu was comfortable speaking to him.

From the far corner of my eye, the sparkling lights of a restaurant with people bustling in and out reminded me that its dinner time.

I looked back at Adu and Aashu, finding them engrossed in scrolling through one of their phones and giggling looking at something on it.

"Kya dekh rahe ho dono?" I walked up to them and settled beside them.

" ek T.V. show 'Liar liar pants on fire', dekhenge aap bhi?" Aditansh's sarcastic snide reminded me the boy wasn't in the coolest of moods to mingle and chat. But I had more important matters at hand so I let him sulk.

"Accha baad me dekhna, restaurant hai udhar, vahin dinner kar lete hain!"

"Kis uplaksh me bahar dinner?"

"Aashu topped yaar! This is the least."
It is indeed the least.
Papa had a tradition of gifting us a Rolex on our result day of boards.
Adu and I had performed decently and papa grandly celebrated our day.

However neither of our results were even remotely close to the whooping 99% my baccha had scored today.

"Itna bhi koi accha marks nahi aaya hai, hindi me 95 aaya hai, hamare khandaan me kisi ka itna kam nahi aaya. No celebrations for him." Aditansh commented, smacking Aashu's head.

"Aur unn khaandan walon ka percentage mila kar bhi Aashu jitna nahi aayega" I kissed my Aashu's head pulling him tightly in my embrace.

He smiled looking up and kissing my cheek back.

"No cheesy moments please. Last time hai iss month me jo hum bahar dinner kar rahe hain, ab tab jab yeh 12th me 100% laayega tab aayenge", he said pocketing his phone and walking to the restaurant.
Aashu and I shared a giggle at the dramebaaz.
