New Girl (Part. 1)

A group of five teens sat on chairs in a circle, Dr Reyes sat in her own chair. "Yesterday I asked you to think about the first time your mutation manifested" She said to the group

Everyone remained silent, avoiding eye contact with the doctor. "Would anyone like to share?" She suggested, only to be meet with silence

"Sam?" She asked a brunette boy who was in a cast and had a black eye, He wore a flannel shirt and red cap. He looked at her silently before looking back down

"(Name)?" She began to go around the circle, Dr Reyes looked at the (Hair color) girl who sat next to Sam, wearing (something you'd like to wear) and black-out sunglasses

She turned her head away from the doctor completely, crossing her arms over her chest causing Dr Reyes attention to go to the next girl in the circle

"illyana?" She asked the blonde girl who held a small purple dragon puppet on her hand. illyana's gaze went to Dr Reyes before the dragon puppet turned to the doctor shaking its head

"Roberto?" She asked the only other boy in the program, he had a darker shade of brunette hair and wore a expensive looking polo shirt, after she was meet with nothing she turned to the last girl

"Rahne?" She asked the girl who wore a knitted sweater and had light brunette hair which was cut into a small pixie style, the girl looked down at her hands

"Look, we can't help each other unless we talk to each other.....unless we talk to each other" Dr Reyes said looking at the group as no one spoke up.

"I've said this a hundred times.....this program can't help you if you refuse to participate" She said sterner to the group "So, Rahne why don't you start?" She turned to the short haired girl

Rahne hesitated, she went to began speaking as the door creaked open. A girl with shoulder length brunette hair walked into the room "Please join us, Dani" Dr Reyes said

"This is our new patient, Danielle Moonstar" She introduced as the girl went to sit in the spare chair next to Sam. Roberto let out breathy laugh

Dr Reyes gave him a look "oh its serious" He said "you are unbelievable" (Name) said looking towards him through her glasses, he only shrugged

"(Name)" Dr Reyes said causing the girl to look forward again "lets do our best to make her feel at home" She addressed the rest of the group before looking back at Rahne

"Do ahead Rahne" She said, "right..." Rahne said knowing she couldn't get out of it. "I was 13....I remember running through the woods" She began

"How did you feel?" Dr Reyes asked "Free....like the most free I felt in my whole life....but guilty too" Rahne continued "why did you feel guilty?" Dr Reyes said

Rahne fiddled with her necklace "Because I knew It was bad, I went to Reverend Craig to see if he could pray it out of me....he asked to see so I showed him" She explained

Everyone silently listened as Dr Reyes spoke again "what did Reverend Craig do?" "Beat me half to death....said I was a witch...that I was going to hell" Rahne looked down at her hands

"Would anyone else like to share?" Dr Reyes asked, illyana sighed "new girl....how fucked up are you?" She said looking at Dani

"illyana" Dr Reyes warned "Drugs I bet or a nympho, maybe hopefully" Roberto said "you are disgusting you know that?" (Name) spoke up again "(Name)" Sam said too her silently

"(Name)" Dr Reyes said sternly "if you keep behaving exactly like you are right now, we can all just spend the day in solitary" Dr Reyes threatened

Everyone either sat back or rolled their eyes "I want all of you to think very carefully about how you'd like to use your time here....and how long you want that time to be" the doctor said as illyana got up from her spot

"illyana since you're already up why don't you show Dani around?" Dr Reyes asked the blonde "why do I have to?" She asked with a snark

"Because I'm asking you" Dr Reyes said back illyana only rolled her eyes but did what the doctor said, illyana and Dani left the room, Dr Reyes excusing everyone else.

Rahne left the room quickly as (Name) got up as Roberto called out "Hey medusa....I didn't mean to offended you, you know" He said "man, who many times she gotta' ask. stop callin' her that" Sam said his accent noticeable

Roberto put his hands up "right out of line, sorry" "Don't apologize if you don't mean it....look we're all stuck in this joint together I'd prefer if we didn't tear each others heads off, ok?" (Name) said as Roberto nodded

"got it princess" He said, (Name) and Sams faces scrunched up "I preferred Medusa" She muttered as Sam nodded "uh huh me to" Sam nodded as they both walked off together

"come on it wasn't that bad!" Roberto called out after them "guys?" He called again as they didn't answer heading down the hallway "wait up!" He said running after them
