SWASTIK'S POV
CHAPTER-26

"I still hate you" keshav spoke, stuffing burger in his mouth
"You should've taken us to some expensive restaurant " Manthan said
Not replying to them I stood up and went to the canteen counter to take pav bhaji for Aarav
Taking the plate, I walked back to our seat, giving Aarav his plate I again sat refreshing messages again and again.

Why isn't she replying? I thought in my head
"Swastik. I have never seen you this happy like ever.....stay this way okay" Aarav said
I smiled at him. He is right I myself feel happy from inside. I myself don't remember smiling and laughing this much.

"I felt like a proud dad watching you perform " keshav joked
We all laughed.
"Look at this picture" Aarav said showing us his phone. I smiled looking at the picture, it was a candid shot where I was bowing and people flew their paper planes in air. The picture really looked nice.

Yesterday was indeed a special day for me. For the first time in my life I felt as if I have achieved something. Stage felt like a place I belong to. Though I was nervous before performance but as I sat near the piano I felt as if nothing more existed. It was just me and music.

After performance the way people reacted just added more to my joyous.
Boys were surprised, more then happy to see me perform.

But the look on kiara's face was something I could never forget. I had thought that she would be making faces seeing me cheered for, but it was opposite. I doubt but I felt she looked proud of me.

"Swastik" I heard a familiar voice calling me from a distance
Looking back I saw Kiara, a red headed Kiara rushing towards me but what had me immediately standing were the shocked expressions on her face. As she reached near me panting .

I kept my hands on her shoulders supporting her. She was gasping for air, her red hairs curtaining her face as she kept her hand on my arm. Lifting up my water bottle and I brought it near her mouth helping her drink from it.

Tucking her hairs behind ears I put my palms on both side of her face.
"Take deep breath and tell me what happened?" I asked in the calmest voice
Even though I am freaking out from inside.

"Vo...vo" she stuttered
" it's okays take it slow" I said. Heaving a deep breath...she suddenly squealed
I looked at her dumbfounded. Has she hurt her head or something. I surveyed her head turning it side to side.
"Swastik our first project has gotten approved" she said raising her tone at the end grinning ear to ear.
"It got.....it got approved " I asked her more like myself
"Yes" she shouted beaming

I run fingers through my hairs not knowing how to react. This was my first cooperate project which was not for mom's company. Have my happy days started? First music and then project approval. It feels like dream come true.

Kiara stepped closer, opening her arms but realizing her action she stepped back and hugged keshav instead.
"Congrats you two" Manthan said
"You people worked hard for it" Aarav said

She sat beside Manthan. Taking a fries from his plate, she pops it in her mouth.
"Hey it was mine!" He exclaimed shielding his plate
"Wah kya din aa gye hain. You wouldn't even share fries with me" she said forging hurt.

He side eyed her but nevertheless puts his plate between them.
"Thusle" he said
Giving him a teethy smile she munched on them ignoring a sulking Manthan
"You seriously dyed your hair" Keshav said taking few strands of her hairs in his hand

"Kya karu I am person of my words" she said flipping her hairs back
"Jaanvi Tany here " she shouted waving her hand in air
Soon her roommates joined us. They both complimented my yesterdays performance, in reply I mumbled thank you go them with a small smile.

I felt constant gaze on myself, I slowly peaked up to where Kiara sat putting her face between her palm.
"Kya?" I asked sitting straight
"You didn't complimented me" she said batting her lashes

I snorted
"Chudal lag rhi hai" I said. Boys snickered, she glared at them scoffing.
Sliding my cup of coffee to herself, she took a huge sip of it before I could warn her
"Fuck" she cursed coughing and fanning her mouth.
We all bursted in fist of laugh, she too chuckled shaking her head.

As we both walked side by side towards library I stole occasional glances of her. When I made a bet of asking her to dye her hairs red I had thought she would look bad but how wrong I was. Maybe something is wrong with my eyes because I am finding her pretty in these hairs too.

People are staring at her, some in awie and some weirdly but she is walking without a care of this world with so much confidence that it makes me envious of her.
"Hey dude nice color" a girl said
Kiara beamed at her shrugging her shoulder.

"Dekha teri ankhe he khrab hai I am looking cool" she said to me running her fingers through her hairs stepping closer to me
I playfully hit her forehead with my forefinger.
"Kutta" she muttered
"Kamenie" I muttered, she side eyed me.

We continued walking nudging each other's shoulder the whole coridor.

She hits my feet under table once again making me glare at her. She puts her head down on table, shaking her vigorously.
"Why did I took this?" She said
I smacked her head
"We are in library keep quiet " I whispered

"Mai yha fail hone wali hu aur tujhe library ki padhi hai" she said looking at me, her head still in same position
"You wouldn't if you concentrate instead of wasting time" I whispered
"Easier said then done. I shouldn't have taken this. It's because of you" she accused

I rolled my eyes focusing back on my book.
She whined faking cry.
"Leave if this is what you want to do" I said
"Help me out" she said showing me puppy face
Ignoring her I continued underlining the main pointers

"Help us out too swastik" I looked up startled at keshav
"When did you came here?" I asked curiously
"After you left, we too remembered that we also have this assessment " Aarav said as he sat beside Kiara
"So, we followed after eating" keshave completed

"God Swastik" Kiara called
"God Swastik " keshav and Aarav said after her
They three looked at me with puppy eyes
Closing my eyes in annoyance I agreed relecuently.
"Out you four" librarian shouted. We all looked at each other muffling laughter
