I pulled on the hoodie I'd borrowed from her as we headed out. It was already 5:00 PM, and we reached the restaurant I had mentioned earlier. "Oh, we're finally here. Sakit sa paa maglakad," she complained.

"Hey, we left at 4:45. Wag mong sabihin di ka sanay sa ganto kalsada na lang nga tong nilalakaran natin napagod ka pa?" I teased her.

"Hindi ah after a years kasi ngayon lang ulit ako naglakad ng ganto kalayo" she retorted.

I rolled my eyes. "It was just a short walk shuta palibahasa kasi puro ka commute" I said, glaring at her. "Hayst tara na nga."pagkunot noo ko dito.

As we entered, Mytle's phone rang. "Teka tumatawag si mama" she said.

"Answer it" I replied.

I sighed as she talked with her mom. "Ma?" saad nito "Nasa kayo?" agad namang tanong ni tita lenny sa kabilang linya "Nasa Joana Grill restaurant kami ma ,nagugutom daw kaya lumabas muna kami" I overheard her say. Her mom's voice was faint on the other end, but I caught her saying, "Sige mag iingat kayo pag uwi" saad nito.

Mytle nodded, "Opo ma" and tucked her phone back into her pocket.

We placed our orders, and I pulled the hoodie off my head. "I want that," I said, while pointing on the screen.

"Yung carnida el pasto?" Mytle asked.

I nodded, "Yes."

I handed her some money. "It's just 80. Here, take 200."i smile at her.

She raised an eyebrow. "Wow ah naol yayamanin," she said as she took the money.

"Ul*l anong yayamamin ka dyan" I shot back, rolling my eyes.

After a few minutes, our orders arrived. "Oh my its look like a pancake gusto ko talaga to cravings ko ngayon" Mytle laughed.

"Mukhang di kana kakain nyan mamaya" she added.

I glare "And why not?" sabay taas ko ng kaliwang kilay.

"Buraot ka talaga ket kailan since college jusko ,tapos di ka man lang tumaba" she said, shaking her head.

"None of your business , just shut up sis" I shot back playfully.

I glanced out the window, ensuring no one was watching us. The sound of her fork hitting the table drew my attention back. "By the way, do you know who your fiancé is?" she asked suddenly.

I almost choked on my water. "What?"

"You know, the one you mentioned earlier?" she clarified.

I took a deep breath. "Oh, him. Yeah, I know him. Why do you ask?"

"Just curious," she shrugged.

"His name is Timothy Vernon. I saw him when he visited with Aunt Karen, but I didn't come out. I just peeked. He seems like a rich kid, which is annoying," I explained, glaring.

"So, di ka pa nya nakikita in person?" she asked.

I nodded. "Not yet." sabay titig ko dito "masama talaga kutob ko dito eh" while i bit my lower lip.

My phone rang, and I quickly answered it. "What's the news, Cleo?"while i lean my back on the backseat.

"She's here, bro. By the way, I'm with Bryle and Gio," Cleo said on the other end.

I brushed my hair back before replying, "Let me see if it's really Angelou ,and why are you with those idiots?" my expressions became darken.

"Why, bro? You don't love us anymore?" Bryle teased on the other line.

I sighed, "You all just had to get together." i grinned.

I heard Gio laugh. "Don't you miss us?" he asked.

"You jerks!" I yelled.

They all laughed. "Oh, did you see her?" Cleo asked, snapping me back to reality and he sent the picture of her at the restaurant.

"Are you going to catch her, bro?" Cleo asked.

"No, just keep an eye on her. She can't get away may ibang balak akong gagawin dyan" I ordered.

"Sure, bro. I heard her friend call her name while talking on the phone ,di ko lang alam sino kausap nun" Bryle responded.

"That's good. I have evidence to show Mom where my future wife is hiding" I said, feeling a smirk forming on my lips.

"Bro, remember, you don't have a label yet!" Gio teased.

"Yeah, friends with benefits. Oh wait, not even friends yet. Hahaha, kawawa ka naman hahahaha" Bryle joked.

I grinned, holding my head in frustration. "You guys are useless!bumalik na kayo sa america! tangina binubwisit nyu nanaman ako di kayo nakatulong sa ekonomiya ng pilipinas" i shouted

Their laughter continued. "Sorry, bro. No label enjoyer ka pala eh" Gio mocked as I hung up.

After hours of traveling back to the Philippines, I finally rested at the hotel. My phone rang again.

"Mom?" I answered.

"Did you find her, son? Your Aunt Mariela will be so proud," she said.

"She's in Batangas, Mom. But I don't plan on telling Aunt Mariela yet. I want to meet this woman myself," I answered calmly.

"If she tries to run, you know what to do," she said.

I sighed. "No, Mom. I'm not going to do that. I'll make her fall in love with me," I smirked.

"That's good to hear, son. Make me proud kung yan ang nanaiisin mo" she said before hanging up.

As I arrived at the hotel, I saw a woman struggling against some chaperones. "Take her to my room later. I want to rest with her," I ordered, ignoring her pleas.

I approached her slowly, "You'll be begging me more in bed later," I smirked. "Just get used to my behavior, honey," I said, genuinely smiling even though she hadn't seen me yet.

I looked at her, puzzled, as she stayed glued to her screen.
