We stood up. I picked up the weapon Alexia had used and gave it to Ria. "Here, she will be with you always. Protecting you, even in death." I said. Ria took the sword and nodded. It wasn't much to make her feel better, but it had seemed to help. "C'mon, let's go." Ria said. We walked off, and started our way back up to camp. We were just about at the top when an arrow flew past my face. Then another, and another, and another. I turned to see an entire legion of archers following us. I grabbed Ria's hand and turned to run when I heard a small yell and turned back around to see an arrow sticking out of Ria's back. I quickly put my arms under her and picked her up, then ran off. When I reached camp, some of my own men ran to fend off the archers. I put Ria down on her side behind a rock, safe from the arrows. "Just get it out of me. The faster it's out the better." She said. I nodded and wrapped my hands around the piece of wood. "One, two, three." I thought to myself. When I got to three I pulled as hard as I could. Ria screamed in agony as the tip of the arrow left her body. I examined the wound, and noticed some kind of green liquid around the entry hole. "Oh... no." I said. Ria looked back at me. "What? What is it? Did the arrow break off?" She asked. "No... No it came out clean." I said. She grabbed my arm, and noticed the liquid. "Oh.... now I know what's wrong. That's poison isn't it?" I nodded in disbelief.
