𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐘-𝐄𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓

"Hello? Why have you called me back?" I scoffed, shaking my head. "Ruining the effect," I roll my eyes

"What are you talking about...?" I looked down at my phone

"Shit Niko, I thought Sharky called me back, anyways, what'd you want?" I laughed sheepishly to my brother

"I'll pick you up at 6, is that okay?"

"At 6? What for?" I was confused, what was he picking me up for.

"Are you not coming to our merch launch party?" He spoke after a few seconds of silence.

"Shit! Is that today?" I gasped, running to my room.

"You better be joking! Literally everyone's gonna be there, you can't not be there!" He screeched

"Calm down, I'm only pulling your leg, I'm literally in the middle of getting ready," I lied, getting my stuff. "Yeah, 6 is fine, just call me when you're outside," I checked my phone to see it was only 4pm so I had enough time.

"Okay, good," I sighed a breath of relief on the other side. "I'll see you later, okay bye, love you," I rolled my eyes

"Love you too," I hung up the phone and began getting ready.

Just on time, I recieved a message on my phone from my brother, he was outside. I sprayed some perfume and made my way out, getting into the car.

"How many people are gonna be there?" I asked him, buckling my seatbelt.

"A lot," I rolled my eyes

"Jeez, that helped!" I faked excitement.

After thirty minutes, we pulled up in front of a venue. There were so many people vlogging, I had my team and kit here already so I just had to pick up my camera and take pictures of the event.

I got out of the car, heading towards Ed, the third camera man.

"Hey, do you have my camera, or?" He nodded, taking me over to a secluded area where all the gear was set up. I thanked him before grabbing my stuff, and turning it on.

I made my way to the main hall where everyone was. It was absolutely packed, my god, I tried spotting someone from beta, luckily I spotted AJ.

"Pose AJ!" I laughed, snapping a picture of him. This event was some kind of charity event that Beta Squad along with some others were hosting.

"I think Chunkz wanted you over there," he had a suspicious grin on his face as he pointed in the opposite direction. Before I could press for more, he ran away.

"Seriously AJ?" I scoffed, watching him scurry away. I rolled my eyes turning back. I'd accidentally bumped into someone.

"Sorry," I smiled sheepishly to the unknown guest.

"It's alright darling, can I just say you're gorgeous," he smiled, I looked up at him confused.

"Oh right, sorry, my name's Leon," I put his hand to shake. Watching as people side stepped around us.

I shook his hand, "Cora," I smiled. We stood like that for a while, before I'd remembered Chunkz had called for me.

"I'm really sorry, I've gotta go," I nodded, stepping past him.

"Oh, well when you're free, come find me," he smiled, walking back in the other direction. I was caught off guard as I watched him walk away.

I shook off the feeling, walking towards the area AJ pointed to earlier. Chunkz was nowhere to be seen. I was gonna turn back when someone called for me.

"Cora," I froze, recognising the voice. I turned around slowly.

He was stood in a suit, looking finer than ever, as hard as it was, I'd luckily concealed my true feelings with a disgusted look on my face.

"Have you got no fucking shame? You cheat on me and then show up to my event," I scoff, walking away before he could get a word in.

I walked back the other way, back the way I came. Maybe I should go talk to that guy, I wasn't interested at first. But now?

I looked around for him, accidentally bumping into a few people at the bustling event, how can so many people fit into one building? I eventually found him, speaking to my brother...?

I walked over to them, smiling.

"Oh Cora!" My brother smiled, "this is my mate, Leon," He laughed, introducing us.

"Hey," I shook his hand, again. I looked up at my brother, expecting more information.

"He's my mate from that job I did a few years ago, remember?" I nodded, smiling at him.

"I do remember you mentioning him a few times, yeah," I nodded. I watched my brother suddenly walk away as he was called by someone else.

I looked back up at Leon.

"Oh, so you're Niko's sister?" He connected the dots as I laughed.

"Yeah, I am." I nodded, "has he said anything about me?" I asked

"Well um... you're not gonna like it," he smiled cheekily.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I laughed.

I had spent nearly most of this event speaking to Leon, catching up like we were old friends, it was actually really fun.

"No way he said that!" I laughed.

"I'm just gonna go to the bathroom quickly," I smiled, heading towards the bathroom.

I did my business and came out, heading back into the hall before I was stopped.

"Are you being serious right now?" I turned around, rolling my eyes.

"Excuse me?" I scoffed.

"You're here with another guy? Seriously?" He looked sad.

"Not that it's any of your business, but I'm not here with him," I spat.

"Please Cora, let me explain—" I laughed

"Save it." I shook my head, walking away.
