Chapter 6: Saffron's POV

"Who's your new friends" The blonde woman had approached Matt, and Dawn was right the best way to describe her was fake.
"Saffron Morelli" I put myself between her and Mattheo, as I did it, I got a look off Theo which I chose to ignore.
"Oh don't worry I'm no threat" she smiled attempting to put her hand on my shoulder and move past me. "Alright then" she stepped back when she realised, she couldn't get by me.
"Caroline," Dawn gritted her teeth while she spoke.
"You're back again I see" the woman laughed looking dawn up and down. Mattheo put his hand on my arm, he must have noticed me tense up as this woman spoke down to my friend.
"So what can we help you with Caroline" Something about him having his hand on me and addressing this woman at the same time made my blood boil.
"I just wanted to see if you would like to come spar with me after you've eaten" I placed my hand over Mattheo's as the woman tried to move closer again. "But it seems you're already otherwise engaged" she gestured to my hand on his. I quickly swatted at his hand hoping it would make him let go of my arm.
"I'm free to spar" I met her eyes "If you're up for it" Theo tried to jump in, but she didn't even give him time to finish exhaling.
"Sounds like fun" she smirked and spun on her heels.
"What a pretentious Bitch" I accepted the plate of food Dawn had put together for me.
"You sure that's the only reason you did that" Dawn teased nodding towards Matt.
"What are you implying?" I dared her with my eyes.
"That even Theo hasn't jumped between Matt and someone that quickly" I rolled my eyes and sat down at one of the tables.
"Theo has never been able to move as fast as me, plus he doesn't always see women as a threat"
"That's not true" Theo put his tray down next to Dawn on the other side of the table "I know you're one" Mattheo all but chocked on the piece of food he was chewing as he sat down next to me.
"Well maybe you are sort of good at your job then" I poked fun at him.

By the time we had finished eating Dawn seemed more on edge then normal, even the boys had noticed.
"Dawn what's eating you?" Mattheo spoke as we walked towards the Ball room.
"Just, oh no its fine don't worry about it" she looked at me worriedly.
"Hey Dawn if this girl is going to kill my sister it would be nice to know beforehand" Theo poked her.
"Well there is rules, so she won't kill her but..." Dawn trailed off as we entered the ball room. Caroline was there flirting with the tall man who thanks to Dawn we now know as Darius.

"Your opponent is here" the man stepped away from her and gestured to me.
"Not much of an opponent if you ask me" she cocked her head at me. I turned to Theo who just smiled at me and winked, I redirected my attention back to my overconfident opponent.
"Hey when I win, why don't we go get dinner" she was talking to Matt.
"How about when Saff wins you try seducing someone else and leave me alone" Matt smirked leaning against the door frame. Theo jabbed him in the ribs causing Matt to swear at him. At his words the fake smile on her face dropped and she turned to me. She had flames in her eyes. Fighting an opponent who was trying to show off was definitely easier than one who now wants your blood, but both still make mistakes.

"Youready" I smirked removing my jacket and handing it to Dawn. You learn a lot aboutpeople just from watching and from the way this girl was jumping about at theedge of the crude markings of a sparing area she was not going to be hard tobeat.
"Ready" she stopped jumping around a got into a fighting stance "You clearlyaren't" she looked me up and down as I just stood there relaxed.
"Can we just get on with it" She barely gave me time to get my sentence outbefore she barrelled towards me, the shock on her face when all I did was stepto the side was comical to say the least. She struggled to come to a stop whichgave me an opening, I braced my left arm at chest height disrupting hermovement and turned into her pushing hard on her stomach. Her feet slipped fromunder her, and she slid on her back to the side she had started. Everyone inthe hall went quiet as she got back to her feet clutching her stomach. The tallman rushed to her side, but she shoved him away.
"That all you have little girl" I clearly got under her skin with that.
"I think you should probably have a break" I smiled but she was already makingher way back towards me. I rolled my eyes and stood my ground. She threw a righthook at my face, I debated letting her land a hit but my brother and Matt werecheering so damn loud I refused to let them down. I blocked the hit with my armand punched her hard in the mouth. She stumbled back from the hit "You shouldstop" venom laced my words. I'm a peaceful creature but to say I only foughtfor survival would be a lie. I liked it.
