"You ready for this this Teddy?" I know I wasn't. I was about to let my brother be the first person to ever beat me.
"Are you?" he smiled back at me, if only he knew how nervous this was making me. I took the first move, swinging a right handed punch at him which he dodged easily.
"You aren't even trying" he complained as he lunged at me taking me to the floor. He was right I needed to make this a bit harder to win or I wouldn't know his moves.
"Okay fine, redo?" I pushed him off me.
"Only this once" my brothers chuckle made me smile
"Oh I see how it is" I laughed letting him make the first move this time, we walked round in a circle for a bit before he decided he saw and opening and stepped forwards. I countered his left and used it to slip behind him, causing him to lose his advantage. As he turned to face me, I swept his left foot throwing him off balance, he recovered quicker than I expected and landed a blow right into my rib cage.
"Fucking hell Teddy" he had actually winded me, but I needed to think about this fight as if I was the same size as him or it wouldn't help Matt.
"Sorry" he wiped the sweat off his forehead. I threw another punch, and it connected in his side, he instinctively reach his hand to cover the pain which gave me the chance to restrain his right arm behind his back. He reached round to grab my wrist and pulled causing my grip to slip but not before I slammed my foot into the back of his knees causing him to drop to the floor.
"Gonna tap out Teddy?" I smirked as he was now using his other hand to try and stop me from pushing him into a laying position.
"Why when I can still get out of this?" he chuckled
"Oh really you can get out of this?" my curiosity got the better of me which meant my concentration slipped giving him the chance he needed. Rolling to his left he knocked me to my ass and freed himself, he grabbed me by the throat and lifted me off my feet.
"Bad move" I choked out, I swung my legs up catching on his shoulders and pushed my upper body to towards the ground causing him to do a front flip. He landed in a ball at Matt's feet.
"That's no fair" he stood up and brushed himself off
"How is that not fair, you picked me up by my throat" I spluttered out trying to catch my breath again. He thought about his answer and must have thought better of it as he just shook his head holding his hand out to me. I took his hand, and he pulled me into a hug.
"I'm sorry, is your neck, okay?" It was nice to see my soft caring brother coming out, I hadn't seen this side of him for a while. The moment was ruined by slow clapping coming fromthe other side of the garden. Caroline and Damien approached,
"What a display" her shrill voice was like nails on a chalk board. She looked overher shoulder at Damien, who was looking past us all.
"Urm Thanks?" Theo responded, "Just a little spar session"
"I can see but I believe another one of our rules is that you can't spare with anyoneout of your skill level" she had a big smile on her face "I will have to reportSaffron for this" Matt got to his feet and stood between us.
"For what play fighting with her twin brother?" Carolines smile wavered butdidn't leave her face.
"It really isn't allowed" she stood her ground trying to puff her chest but allshe did was straighten her back.
"Even if I as their Boss was here to supervise?" Matt tilted his head "I dobelieve I outrank you in all situations" her resolve was starting to weakentill she looked back at Damien.
"But you don't out rank him, and he will report it too" Damien finally looked upand met my eyes.
"I don't see anything to report" he spoke, Caroline let out a high pitchedsqueal and slapped his arm before stomping off.
