Sean can hear Cherry yawn loudly as he shuts the door behind him. He watches for a moment as she strips off his hoodie before scratching her head, a tired sigh leaving her lips.

"Grandma?! Grandpa?!" Daniel yells. He's only met with silence. "I guess they haven't come back from church."

"You know another reason I quit going to church, Sean? 'Cause it was long as hell." She yawns once more before continuing. "It was boring too."

"Yeah," he agrees. "At least they won't yell at us for going out."

"But it was so cool spending time with Chris at the market!" Daniel glees.

"So...," Sean starts, "did you set things straight with him? Told him the truth?"

"Yeah, yeah. I did. He was so disappointed," he says with a pout.

"Of course he was. You lied to him."

"Remember how mad you were when didn't tell you about my powers?" Cherry adds. They watch the cogs turn in his head for a moment before he nods his head.

"Hey, guys..." Daniel starts, his words weary. The two give him their full attention, Cherry so much as kneeling to be at his height. "I want to go check out the room... the one upstairs." The teems glance at each other. "I know it's Mom's. Please."

"You won't give up on that, huh?" Sean sighs.

"It's just-" he cuts himself off, trying to find the right words. "I really want to know what's inside. What kind of stuff she had. Chris had tons of things that belonged to his mom. And I have nothing! You don't even have to come with me if you don't want to." Sean looks down at Cherry, who gives him a shrug.

"You already know how I feel about this."

"Fuck," Sean sighs, rubbing his face roughly. "I'll come with you. I don't need you making a mess and getting us caught." As the three head upstairs to the room, Sean whispers to Cherry, "You sure you cool with this?"

"I already told you I'm with you every step of the way, haven't I?" He hums a yes. "Then quit worrying. I'm still here." He wishes his eyes to linger for a moment longer, but his attention turns to Daniel, watching him pull at the locked door.

"I just don't get why they lock the room. What's the big deal?" he sighs.

"We'll find a way to open it," Sean promises.

"I can just the lock with my power!"

"I can melt it off," Cherry volunteers.

"And I could do that with a hammer," Sean states, getting an eyeroll from his brother. "Let's try to find the key instead, yeah?"

"Okay. I'm going to get this paint off my face first." As Daniel walks off, the two teens look at each other.

 "Check her bedroom?" Sean says.

 "Yeah."

They search her room from top to bottom. They went through her closet, side tables, and some of her clothes. They went through everything.

"Dude, where the hell is it?" Cherry groans, looking under the bed in hopes the key will magically appear.

"Guys!" The two look over, seeing Daniel in the doorway. " I saw grandma go into the room yesterday. It looked like she left something there. But then she locked the door."

"Did you see where she put the key?"

"I think she put something in her pocket." The two teens look at each other, Sean with a look of exasperation and Cherry with a look of pure annoyance.
