the group walked the stairs and went back onto the streets, finding kirby waiting outside the theater. she greeted them as they approached. "hey, i talked to bailey. we've got everything set up," she started before suddenly noticing that mindy and carter were missing. "where's mindy and carter?" she asked, her gaze scanning the group.
elena spoke up, answering kirby's question. "they're five minutes behind us."
kirby nodded, gesturing towards the theater. "let's get you all inside."
sam stopped and turned her attention to danny, her expression serious. "not you." danny looked confused. "what?"
sam sighed, "you said not to trust anyone, remember? we don't know you... not really." danny took a step forward, his voice soft as he spoke. "you know me..." sam held her ground, her tone firm. "you're not woodsboro. i'm sorry."
danny nodded in understanding, accepting the boundaries set by sam. "it's okay. i get it. i get it." he leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek, whispering, "be safe, okay?" sam nodded in response, uttering the same back to him. "you too."
kirby spoke, acknowledging sam's decision. "good call." as the group continued walking through the alley and into the theater room. kirby closed the gate behind them, securing the space.
elena spoke up as they all entered the theater room, "i'm not from woodsboro either." sam responded, her tone reassuring. "it doesn't matter. i trust you, especially since you're tara's best friend."
a small smile formed on elena's face as she heard sam's words. "thanks." she said, grateful for the show of trust.
kirby led the group further into the room, explaining the security measures they had taken. "i've cleared the entire place before you all arrived, so this is the only way in or out." she said before stating that stepping into the first door, makes both doors locked automatically, trapping ghostface inside.
elena nodded in understanding, she had been paying attention. "it'll turn into a kill box."
sam asked about weapons, to which kirby responded, "one gun, and i'm the one holding onto it."
elena raised an eyebrow at the response, a hint of doubt in her gaze.
kirby firmly stated, "i'm the only one with the badge here and that's how it's going to be."
sam spoke up, reassuring everyone. "we're safe here." there was a brief moment of silence before anyone spoke again.
sam announced, "i'm going to check in with mindy, to see if they're close."
elena nodded her head, her concern for me evident. "good idea. i'll come with you."
elena sat on the steps of the stage, her phone in her hand as she tried to contact carter. she sent text after text, then started calling but got no answer.
sam had walked up the stairs and was trying to reach mindy on her phone but was having no luck.
a loud bang suddenly echoed through the room, catching the attention of both girls. they quickly looked out into the theater, trying to locate the source of the noise.
sam yanked on the gate, but it remained locked.
elena cursed, "oh, shit, we're stuck."
sam looked at her, a scared expression on her face. "kirby has the only key."
elena added, "and the only weapon."
the lights suddenly went out, placing the room into darkness, and sam's panic increased even more.
