his name is carter and until recently, he was just a normal guy trying to be just like everyone else... a nerd, the type of guy who doesn't really talk much but there was something else in store for him, something that would change his life forever.
it all began when he walked upon an old mask in an antique store because of his brother. little did he know that this seemingly harmless item would awaken something within him.... the mask is a replica of the famous mask from the "stab" movies. it was a rainy afternoon and he had decided to seek shelter in the store while waiting for the storm outside to pass. as be was wandering through the aisles, his eyes fell upon the mask, reminding him of his brother richie.
richie had always been fascinated with horror movies and the "stab" franchise was his absolute favorite. he would often quote the movie's famous lines, imitating ghostface's chilling voice. they would spend friday nights watching horror films together, laughing and screaming... but he passed away a year ago, leaving carter with a void that seemed very impossible to fill so the sight of the mask brought back memories, both happy and sad.
as he stepped into the dimly lit antique store, the scent of old furniture filled my nostrils. he wandered through the aisles, his eyes scanning the shelves, a glimmer of curiosity danced within him. he was always drawn to the mysterious sights and this little store seemed to hold many things waiting to be discovered. something caught his eye, a vintage mask tucked away on a dusty shelf. its pale white face, twisted grin and eyes seemed to bring him closer. without hesitation, he reached out and gently picked it up.
the store owner, mr. jenkins, sensing his hesitation to rather try the mask, offered a warm smile. "ah, the ghostface mask. it's a rare find, you know? belonged to a young man who had a passion for the horror genre, who was your brother." his heart skipped a beat. how could he know about his brother's fascination with horror movies? curious, he asked.
the old man's eyes sparkled with memories of the past. "well, it's quite a story. you see, the mask was discovered in an attic of an old house nearby. the previous owner was a collector of horrors. rumor has it that he had an uncanny resemblance to ghostface himself." his mind raced with possibilities. could it be that the mask had some connection to carter's brother? something he was truly hiding? with a mix of temptation and excitement, he decided to purchase the mask, hoping to uncover the mystery behind it.
he carried the mask home and once he was inside, he was sat in his room, staring at the mask sitting on his dresser. carter put it on, feeling adrenaline rush through his veins. in that moment, he felt a connection to his brother, as if richie's spirit was guiding him.
