carter enjoyed the moment, knowing they would recognize him. all three girls. he finally stepped forward and a slow smile spread across his face as he was revealing himself.
elena's heart was racing as she saw carter stepping forward and looking at her, all while a twisted smile was appearing on his face as he then glanced at sam and tara, who stood frozen in shock.
he chuckled softly and spoke, "mindy was right. it was easy to juke the roommate lottery. i mean, all i had to do to meet you was room with a... conceited, condescending alpha, LITERALLY named chad!"
he took a pause, taking in the moment before a smile spread across his face and he spoke, "FUCK! it felt good to kill him!"
carter raised the mask in his hand, holding it up for sam to see. he directed it towards sam, "this was your grandmother's, sam. nancy loomis? really runs in the fucking family, doesn't it?" his smile dropped as a look of seriousness crossed his face.
"speaking of family..." he began, glancing back at bailey, who was now smirking. "wait for it.." carter chuckled. "my name's not carter landry," he continued, turning back to bailey. "is it, dad?"
elena listened as the conversation between bailey and carter continued, and carter knew she tried to make sense of everything that was going on and he guessed she was most shocked upon hearing that his last name wasn't landry, because it's kirsch.
bailey's laugh filled the air, and tara asked, "dad?" carter smirked, knowing they were starting to put the pieces together. "wait." sam then turned their attention to the unmasked ghostface next to bailey, asking, "if it's you two, that just leaves... mindy?"
the other ghostface removed their mask and the girls gasped in surprise to see quinn's face staring back at them.
"hey roomies..." quinn said, wearing a smirk as she waved her knife at them. "didn't see that one coming, did you?"
"yeah, because you died!" tara exclaimed, clearly shocked.
quinn chuckled, "kinda didn't, though. it was a good way to get off the suspect list." carter had an amused look on his face as she said that but then quinn continued, "stab gale weathers, stab mindy on the train. that sort of thing."
bailey let out a chuckle, his arms wrapped around quinn and carter. he said, "yup, and i made sure i was first on the scene so i could switch her body out with a fresh one. a little blood, prosthetic." he shook his head, clearly proud, "you'd be amazed with what a grieving father could get away with."
quinn and carter. left bailey's side, walking towards the girls who watched them.
quinn lifted up her mask to show them, saying, "i got stu macher's mask. he was my favorite."
carter followed quinn, making his way toward one of the mannequins. he placed the mask on top of it, before murmuring "nice."
bailey spoke up, holding three fingers and two, pointing to carter and then quinn, trying to build suspense as he opened his jacket and pulled out another mask. "that's number three, that's number two. so, that just leaves..." he held it out to sam, his expression eager as he said, "your father's." carter smiled as bailey said all of this. "this is what we've been counting down to, sam. now, i'm gonna need you to put it on."
"fuck you!" sam exclaimed, slapping the mask out of bailey's hand. carter leaned over the glass container and lashed out, cutting sam's arm. he quickly stepped back, exclaiming, "ooo!" looking at sam, clearly excited at the scene.
"you stay the fuck away from her!" tara yelled, pushing sam behind her in a protective manner.
elena stood there frozen in fear, watching the interactions between bailey, carter and the girls.
