Elemental Magic - Demetri Volturi

Chapter 3

Demetri and Logan walk out of the throne room. 

"Can you take me to Bella first? She's probably freaking out." Logan asks

"Of course." Demetri says and he leads the way to where Bella is with Edward and Alice. 

On the way they see Felix walking with Heidi and a group of tourists. 

"Nice fishing, Heidi, save some for me." Demetri says. Heidi smiles and nods.

As they pass, Logan hears the tourist speaking many different languages, German, French, English are just a few she noticed.

Demetri kept escorting her down the hallway. "You aren't a vampire like the Cullens are you?" Demetri asks Logan and she grimaces. Demetri notices and lets out a light laugh. "I'll take that look on your face as a no."

"I don't drink animal blood. When I need blood I stick to human blood." Logan says and Demetri nods with a smile.

They turn the last corner and see Bella in Edward's arms with Alice standing nearby.

"Logan. You're okay." Bella says relief as she hugs Logan.

"Yeah. I'm fine, Bells." Logan says. "But I'm staying here for a bit."

"What? Why?"

"She's probably being forced to. Aro sees how much power she has and likes it." Edward says.

Bella looks at Logan in concern. Logan shrugs. "He's calling it a 'trail period'." She says with air quotes. "I refused to stay here and be controlled since I always followed the laws he had no reason to keep me here. But he offered a trial period and wouldn't treat me like a servant. I was free to leave at the end of it." Logan informs and Bella still looks nervous. "I'll be fine, Bells. I'm more powerful than you think. They can't do anything to me. If they try, they will be dead. Plus I would get to know my father if I stay."

"Yeah. You've always wanted to know more about him." Bella says with a small smile.

"Yeah. And it's my chance to do so. I'll be safe. Promise."

"Okay. But keep in touch?" Bella asks

"Only if you do." Logan says with a smile.

"Deal." Bella says with a smile.

"Make sure you give Dickwad here a hard time. He deserves to chase after you a while for what he did." Logan says and Bella laughs.

Bella hugs Logan again. "Thank you for helping me."

"What are friends for?" Logan says with a smile before she breaks the hug. "Just tell Charlie I had a family emergency back in Arizona if he asks why I'm not there."

"Alright. Bye Lo."

"Later, Bells." Logan says before turning and walking off with Demetri.

Demetri escorts Logan to a room with a black door and a D.V. on it in gold. He opens the door and lets her inside. Logan looks around the room. It's large. Larger than she thought it would be. There is a large king bed in the middle of the room, a couch and a few lounge chairs with a coffee table in between, a fireplace, a desk and two doors. She assumes one goes to a bathroom and the other to a closet.

She turns and faces Demetri, who is standing by the door and watching her with interest. "Your room?" She asks

"Yes. You are my mate. You will stay in here with me." Demetri says

Logan looks at him warily. "Just don't watch me sleep like a creep, or try to sneak a peak when I change or shower."

Demetri smirks and walks up to her. He wraps his arms around her waist and runs his nose along her neck. Logan puts her hands on his arms as she closes her eyes at the feeling it gives her.
