She didn't notice the vampire standing at the doorway listening to her until she heard clapping as the song ended.

She quickly turned around to face the vampire.

"How long were you standing there?" Logan asks

"Since the second verse, angelo mia. You are an excellent singer." He says

"Thanks." Logan says before she turns to put some of her food on a plate. When she turns back she sees that the vampire is still there watching her. "Is there something I can help you with, Marcus?" She asks as she sits down and starts to eat. Marcus goes to stand across from her and watches her. "Or stare at me like a creep. That works too, I guess." She comments dryly.

"My apologies. Your mother was Robyn Wilder, yes?" Marcus says

"Yes."

"She was a wonderful woman. Very energetic and young at heart."

"She was. How did you end up meeting her anyway? I didn't think the kings ever left the castle."

"We all take vacations every once in a while. In 1980 I was on a vacation and ended up in Goldhollow where I, quite literally, ran into Robyn."

"Oh." Logan says as she stands to wash her dishes.

"You can leave them. The maids will clean it."

"I made the mess. I can clean it." Logan says as she continues to wash them. She turns to Marcus after she finishes with the dishes. "Do you, by chance, have any blood bags?"

"No. We don't keep blood bags. If you are in need of blood, I can have one of the guards go find someone for you." Marcus says

"No thanks. I don't drink straight from the vein. I prefer blood bags."

"Why? Are you like the Cullens in not wanting to hurt humans?"

Logan snorts out a laugh. "No. I normally use blood bags because it is easier. I don't normally need the same amount of blood as a typical vampire does so the amount of blood in a human is normally too much and I won't hurt a child. I draw my line at children. One blood bag is typically all I need when I need to feed...sometimes two. So instead of drinking my fill and turning someone, I use blood bags so I don't have to deal with turning random people. I also just prefer it."

Marcus nods in understanding. "I'll make sure to get a freezer full for you."

Logan frowns. "You don't need to do that. I can just go find a hospital to steal from when needed."

"Nonsense. We'll have some here for your convenience." Marcus waves her off.

"I'm not going to be able to convince you otherwise, am I?"

"No."

Logan sighs. "Alright. Thank you."

"You're welcome." Marcus says with an almost smile. "Would you like the accompany me to the gardens?"

"Okay." Logan agrees and Marcus shows her the way to one of the many gardens on the grounds. "Do you not need to worry about sunlight?" Logan asks as they walk outside, since Marcus didn't cover up his skin.

"Not in these gardens. No humans other than the gardeners are allowed back here." Marcus says and Logan nods.

"Wow. This is beautiful." Logan says in awe of the gardens.

"It's my favorite out of all the gardens here."

"I can see why." Logan says with a smile.

Marcus and Logan walk in silence for a while before coming upon a struggling rose bush. "I don't know what's going on with this rose bush, normally it is so vibrant, not like this." Marcus says. Logan reaches out and feels the plant, she already suspected the problem, but she wanted to confirm.
