It had been a week since Taehyung’s encounter with Jungkook at the club, and each passing day only deepened his disappointment. He had expected Jungkook to show up at the office the next day after their conversation, but the younger man's vague promise of "seeing" had left him in limbo.

Jackson, having just returned from his hometown, quickly caught wind of his best friend’s predicament. Watching Taehyung mope around the office was almost comical, but he couldn’t bring himself to laugh—at least not yet. Instead, he tried to strike a balance between teasing and offering genuine support.

Give him time, Tae. Don’t jump to conclusions before you know what’s really going on, Jackson said, his tone uncharacteristically gentle as he observed his friend sulking like a child.

But he said we’d see each other the next day, and it’s been a week. I haven’t heard a thing from him, Taehyung whined, his voice carrying the unmistakable edge of frustration.

Jackson couldn’t help but smirk at the sight. Don’t sulk like that, man. Just give him some time.

Taehyung opened his mouth to argue, but Jackson was already rising from his seat, cutting him off with a dismissive wave. Alright, that’s enough. I’m outta here.

Jackson, please… say something that helps.

Jackson paused at the door, his expression shifting from amused to exasperated. Honestly, I’m this close to slapping some sense into you, but I’d rather not get killed by your hyung for bruising his precious baby brother. So, do me a favor and stop being an idiot. Have some patience, bro.

With that, Jackson twisted the doorknob and left, leaving Taehyung to stew in his thoughts. Who is now looking at the table which is now not occupied by a certain someone.

Jungkook arrived at the company, making his way toward the elevator with purposeful strides. Just as he was about to press the button, a girl stepped in front of him, blocking his path.

How do you know AgustD? she demanded, her tone sharp and accusatory. I thought you were innocent, but it seems like you're just seducing him with that fake innocence of yours.

Jungkook blinked, momentarily caught off guard by the unexpected confrontation. But before he could respond, Sia appeared beside him, her eyes narrowing as she sized up the other girl

Don’t worry about him, Sia cut in, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Jungkook’s known AgustD since birth, so spare yourself the effort of spreading your venom. Just be careful it doesn’t end up poisoning you instead.

The girl recoiled slightly at Sia’s words, her bravado faltering, while Jungkook stood silently, watching the exchange with a cool demeanor.

What’s going on here? Jackson asked as he stepped out of the elevator, his eyes narrowing as he took in the tense atmosphere. His gaze quickly landed on Jungkook, and a smirk tugged at his lips.

Well, well, look who finally decided to show up, Jackson teased, his tone lightening. You wouldn’t believe how much the big baby has been sulking without you around. He nodded in the direction of Taehyung’s office, clearly amused by the whole situation.

The girl’s eyes flicked to Jackson, instantly recognizing him as the best friend of the co-CEO. Her expression faltered, knowing she was treading on dangerous ground.

Jungkook, catching Jackson’s eye, offered a small, knowing smile.

What’s really going on here? Jackson asked, his curiosity piqued.
