I want to say thank you to everyone who read this story from beginning to end, anyone who read one sentence or three chapters. It really means a lot to me as a writer.
This was my first step back into writing after several years. My last story was for ONC in 2020. The inspiration for this story kind of just slammed into me like a brick wall one morning. I have no clue where it came from, as writing wasn't even something I was considering about picking back up. It was quite literally years since I last thought about writing a story—and then there it was. This idea, pulling me back in.
It's not that I never wanted to write again. I will always want to write stories. For me, I just need the creativity and drive to come to me first. I can't milk anything and so once this current creative spark is over, I'll just have to wait for the next one. Maybe this one is the one that sticks. I'll just have to wait and find out.
So that's why I feel some sort of way about this story. It pulled me back in when I needed it and I'm so thankful!
