Living room/Kitchen

As I walk through the front door, my eyes widen at the sight of the living room. Clothes are scattered everywhere—on the stair railing, the furniture, and the floor. "Aunt Bass!" the girls shout as they rush over to hug me. I continue to look around the room in shock.

I let my bag slip from my hand. "Girls?" I look down at them. "Yes?" they reply, gazing up at me, still clinging to my sides. "Did... a tornado run through the living room?" I ask as I look around the chaotic space around us.

"No, why do you ask?" Stephanie responds, laughing. "Um, no reason," I reply, looking at them. "Where are the boys?" I ask. They let me go. "In the kitchen," D.J. informs me. "Wanna watch Yogi Bear with us?" Stephanie asks excitedly. I squat down to her height. "Maybe later, Bunny. Right now, I'm going to talk to the boys and let them know I'm back."

She shrugs and replies, "Okay," before walking over to the couch with D.J.

I stand up and carefully navigate around the clothes scattered on the floor as I make my way to the kitchen. I push the door open and notice that the sink is filled with dirty dishes, and the dishwasher is overflowing, preventing it from closing. "Boys," I call out to get Joey and Danny's attention.
