Dylan doesn't feel comfortable with him and Rae being involved in all this, Feeling like it could be dangerous, he's more worried for Rae than himself. Looking over to his sister that's flipping through the pages of the book, although it was a blurry figure due to the running in the vision. But the figure that he saw was enough to unsettle him. "Can you go into specifics of how it attacks you? Like is there anything else we should know about that thing?" Dylan questions hesitating on whether they should take the risk.
" Other than the strangulation and the unnerving staring, it just ruins my piece of mind and that's just about it so far I think." Evealyn rests her elbows against the desk while running her hand through her hair, she has a headache just thinking about it. Her words didn't lessen his worries one bit, if anything it makes him want to pick Rae up and walk away from all of this like it never happened. "What do you mean by, you think?"
"Well as your now aware from having that encounter, my memories of said encounters are startling flickers." Evealyn not sure if that's the best way to describe it. Yet, it's not like she knows how to describe anything going on. "Flickers as in?" Dylan asked needing more context.
"Like when someone tries to light a lighter but it won't light. But when it does light, it accidentally burns your fingers. That kind of flicker." Evealyn says wondering if that's a bit better of an explanation.
Dylan was still A bit confused and hesitant, he knows that Rae wouldn't want to leave Evealyn knowing that she needs help. He sighs and shifts the book Rae is reading to himself. "HEY, I was using that you know, have some proper reading decorum."
"Shush, I just wanna see something real quick." Dylan says flipping through the psychology book they were looking at earlier. He goes back to the page about the girl that couldn't understand why her world was unknown to her.
Dylan could understand the Latin and Dutch parts due to having learned a bit from Miss Joce. However the Greek parts were nothing but a jumble for him. Nevertheless it was enough for him to understand what the contents were about. He finds something that both Evealyn and Rae had missed when explaining all this to him. "Say, why did you both skip this part?" He enquires Evealyn and Rae looks at him confused.
"What are you talking about? What did we miss out on?" Evealyn questions not sure if he's joking or what.
He places the book in the middle pointing to the chapter about the depressed girl. "Read only the Dutch and Latin lines." Rae and Evealyn don't know what he's trying to get at. But later comes to see that there really was something they missed.
In the passage before the girl starts to spiral into her depression. She had gone to a place made of mirrors to see her life for herself. It was told that when she looked in one of the mirrors, she saw a world completely different from the one she's living in. It wasn't perfect but it wasn't all that good either. In Fact it was a distorted version of where she was living. In the mirror the darkness had appeared to her, it proposed a question "would you like to remain in the reality now or go back to how it was before?"
Not liking the reality she saw was her life before the one currently, she decided to stay. The darkness had said to her that it would help her, however it wanted something in return. "All you have to do is keep me fed." The girl saw that as no problem as she'd always been a good cook and could make nearly anything imaginable. Agreeing to the darkness's term but what she didn't know it meant she'd psychologically had to remain in torment for it to nourish off her darkest thoughts becoming a mindless shell. Her body in bliss yet her mind and soul wasting away as the days go by.
"That place filled with mirrors, do you think it might be the key to your little entity problem?" Dylan questions
Evealyn looks at it for quite awhile feeling that it might be probable but there's one problem. "It could, but how would we know how to get there? There's no detailing how the girl found that place." Evealyn says feeling like it could be a red herring.
