Ryger is the son of Walder Frey.
History: Ryger's mother was a peasant who milked goats before Lord Walder got her pregnant with Ryger.
Recent Events: When Catelyn Stark comes to discuss terms with Lord Walder over the crossing of the Northern army, he is rude to her. Ryger attempts to chastise his father for his discourtesy. Ryger is rudely told off, however.
As part of the pact between lords Tywin Lannister and Walder Frey concerning the betrayal of Robb Stark in the Red Wedding, Tywin's bastard niece, Joy Hill, is to wed a natural son of Walder once she is older.
