The soft hairs of the brush stroked across the white canvas. With a smile, Yeosang sat at a table in the outdoor area of the campus grounds. Since the previous evening, his stomach had been tingling all the time, making it hard for him to sleep. He also finally felt inspired to paint again.

As if of its own accord, the paint-dipped brush glided over the rough surface, leaving colorful strokes across the white surface. Yeosang didn't have an exact picture in his head of what he wanted to paint, so he just tried it out.

He picked up a drawing pad and wrote down what theme his next picture could have. The third word on his list was Jongho. Only the thought of him gave Yeosang goose bumps. It still felt unreal that Choi Jongho had actually invited him and that they were going to meet. Alone. Yeosang sighed happily and closed his eyes as the morning sun brushed his face.

.....

Mingi closed his locker and with his book under his arm, he walked down the hall to his next class. On the way there, like every morning, he had to think about the blue note that was now hanging in his locker and he saw the words "You are beautiful when you smile" every time he opened the locker. He still had no idea who the note was from, but it didn't really matter anymore. What mattered was that someone had written these words down and that alone made him happy.

Mingi's thoughts were interrupted when he spotted chocolate brown hair in front of him and someone coming towards him. Without further ado, Mingi stopped and paused. He had the urge to just turn around again, but Yunho had already seen that Mingi had seen him and he didn't want to come across as if he was running away from him. Even if he really wanted to.

"Hey." Yunho greeted him and although Mingi didn't want to, he greeted him back. Then he fell silent and looked away. However, Yunho's words made him look back at him. "I was wondering if I could have lunch with you and your friends today?"

Mingi looked at Yunho as if he had gone completely mad. He took a deep breath. "Doesn't Hongjoong have time or what?" He sounded more pissed off than he actually wanted to. Yunho had never done anything to him except join in Hongjoong's pranks from time to time. And he actually seemed to be trying to be nice. But every time Mingi looked at his face, he could hear Hongjoong's laughter and he couldn't control his inner feelings.

"That has nothing to do with him. So can I?" Yunho replied with a serious face. Mingi crossed his arms. "Sure," he said then. He already knew that Yunho wouldn't come anyway because, like his friend, he didn't take anything seriously. With an indifferent shrug, Mingi walked past Yunho. He didn't look back and his thoughts wandered to his next class.

....

Three hours later, as Mingi sat in the cafeteria with Yeosang and Wooyoung and chucked down his lunch, he couldn't help but keep looking around. He wasn't expecting it and he didn't see why Yunho of all people should eat with them, but somewhere inside him there was still hope that he would come and that drove Mingi crazy.

"Our date was just a dream," Wooyoung brought him back to reality. He hadn't talked about anything else for the past ten minutes and even though Mingi was incredibly happy for his best friend, he was a little jealous because he had never had a date like this himself.

"I'm so happy for you," Yeosang mumbled as he picked up a noodle. Yeosang was so glad that Wooyoung had someone now. He seemed a thousand times happier than before. "Well, we're not together yet, but I'll give San the time he needs." Yeosang nodded in agreement.

"Giving him time is good, but don't give him too much time. He must be able to appreciate you too," Mingi joined in the conversation. "I know," Wooyoung murmured with a smile. Then he turned in Yeosang's direction. "How's it going with Jongho?" he said, wiggling his eyebrows.
