Changsub's eyes were burning because of the unshed tears.
No, don't cry. What is the point of crying? Sungjae didn't mean it. He was just angry and he had no other way to vent his frustration. That's why he said all that.
But still, it hurt a lot. Hearing from him.
But Where the hell is Eunkwang? Why is he working so much today?
Why is he not here when he needs him the most?
It was suffocating inside the house. So he went out to look for him. But they are nowhere to be seen. He just wandered here and there and finally settled on a bench outside their apartment.
While waiting, his mind went back to what happened earlier and this time he wasn't able to control his emotions anymore. Tears started rolling down his face.
He placed his elbows on his knees and leaned forward and covered his face with his palms and was silently crying when suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder. Afraid that it might be Sungjae, he quickly wiped his tears before looking up but was relieved to see Hyunsik instead.
Hyunsik was looking at him worried. He knew that since his father was gonna come things wouldn't end up nicely. But he didn't expect Changsub to cry.
The last time he saw Changsub cry was when his grandma passed away
That too only after sending Sungjae with his father and coming back here from their hometown after the funeral.
He kept it in till then. He was dead worried when Changsub wasn't shedding a single tear during the funeral. He kept himself so busy with all the work and tasks. And then suddenly one day he had a breakdown.
But now, he can't fathom what would have happened for Changsub to cry. When he placed a hand on his shoulder, he felt the latter getting tensed by his touch and he wiped his tears and looked up as if everything was normal.
But then he wasn't buying it. He sat next to Changsub and asked what happened.
Changsub couldn't control his emotions anymore and hugged hyunsik and cried a lot. He said "Sungjae hates me. First, it was dad and now it's him."
Hyunsik hugged him back and tried to tell him that that was not true. No one hates him. He was trying to calm him down but it wasn't working. He doesn't know how long they stayed like that.
Meanwhile, in the apartment, Sungjae was pacing back and forth in his room. He could not get Changsub's face out of his mind when he said those words. It wasn't the first time he said that or something similar, but it was never in a serious way. Even though he dashed out of the room in anger, he didn't miss the tears that started pooling in Changsubbie's eyes. He didn't like the fact that he was the reason behind it. Making him cry was not what he wanted to do.
He decided to make amends with his brother soon so he immediately went to his room but he couldn't find him. He searched the whole house, but Changsub was nowhere to be found. He went to the terrace But had no luck.
He called him but Changsub left his phone in his room. He started panicking. What if Changsub left the house? What if he went to get drunk somewhere? Where would he search for him? Or even worse What if he never comes back? What if he does himself some harm?
He then called Eunkwang, because he couldn't search for him alone in this big city. Thankfully Eunkwang picked up.
Eunkwang was silently watching Changsub and Hyunsik. They just arrived home and were about to enter their building when they saw someone that looked Similar to Changsub. Hyunsik went closer to confirm and he was right. When Eunkwang realized he was crying, he didn't want to go near him, otherwise, Changsub would suppress it again and pretend as if Everything was fine. That's why he stood at a distance but his heart was wrenched with pain for his friend, Then Sungaje called him.
