Chapter 9 - [Angel]

Catnap was knocked clean out by the red smoke. The scientists came in after he passed out and moved him else where.

As they got to work, Catnap was trapped in another nightmare.

This was the worst one yet.

Catnap nightmare:

He found himself in the orphanage,
in the bedrooms.

The room was filled with the red smoke and he could hear the children crying out his name.

They were nowhere to be found.

Catnaps heart pounded in his chest as the desperation to find them consumed him. The room was empty.

Then he heard Danny screaming
"Let us out!!"

The room started to spin around him like he was on a spinning teacup ride.

It made him so feel dizzy and he felt very faint. He grabbed a bed post to try stabilise himself.

Catnap pov:
I must be asleep! This can't be real..

Suddenly the screaming abruptly stopped and the room fell deathly quiet.

That's when he heard it.

The voice.

Unknown: "Join me and we can save them.."

Catnap began finding his balance.

His eyes darted around the room trying to source where the voice was coming from.

Then he spotted it.

A metal hand crawling like a spider out from under Danny's bed.

Unknown: "Join me and we will free them.. GET UP!"

[The labs]

Scientist: "We only have enough resources to try one more time. If not.. We will have to take matters into our own hands. What do you think Doc?"

Lab technician: "Look, it's moving.."

Catnap finally woke up, he had been out a whole day.

He opened his eyes and searched the room for the voice. He wasn't there.

Then Catnap realised where he was.

Catnaps pov:
No! No! Not again!!

He was back in the lab.

Catnap instantly thought of the orphans and he attempted to get up off the table.

He was weaker then ever and body wasn't functioning properly.

Have you ever had sleep paralysis? That's what it felt like.

The doctor: "It's no use. Try all you want."
