Shubman and Sara decided to meet at a cozy, well-known restaurant in Ahmedabad. The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, with soft lighting and an elegant decor. Shubman arrived first and chose a quiet corner table. He was dressed casually in a light blue shirt and dark jeans, looking relaxed and happy.
Sara walked in a few minutes later, wearing a chic, floral dress that flowed gracefully as she moved. She spotted Shubman and waved, her face lighting up with a smile.
"Hey, Shubman!" she greeted him, walking over to their table.
"Hey, Sara," he responded, standing up to give her a quick hug. "It's so good to see you."
They sat down and began to look through the menu, exchanging small talk about their days and the excitement surrounding the upcoming IPL matches.
"So, how has your day been?" Shubman asked, genuinely interested.
"It's been busy, as usual," Sara replied. "But I'm really glad we could find some time to catch up. How about you? How's the practice going?"
Shubman smiled. "Practice is going well. The team's in high spirits, especially after last year's win. But it's nice to take a break from the routine and just relax for a bit."
Their conversation flowed effortlessly as they ordered their food. They reminisced about past events, shared anecdotes, and laughed heartily. Shubman talked about his hopes for the upcoming season, while Sara shared some interesting cases she had been working on.
As they finished their meal, Shubman leaned back and said, "I'm really glad we did this. It's nice to have a break and just enjoy good company."
"Me too," Sara agreed. "We should do this more often."
They walked out of the restaurant together, still chatting animatedly. As they reached the parking lot, Shubman turned to Sara and said, "Thanks for the lovely evening. It was exactly what I needed."
"Same here, Shubman," Sara said with a warm smile. "Good luck with your matches. I'll be cheering for you."
"Thanks, Sara. Take care and stay in touch," Shubman replied.
They hugged once more before parting ways, both feeling a sense of contentment and looking forward to their next meeting.
As soon as Shubman reached the hotel, Hardik teased, "Date, huh?"
Shubman simply smiled but didn't say anything.
Rashid Khan chimed in, "Ohhh hoo, someone's got a big smile on their face!"
Shubman chuckled and shook his head. "It's nothing like that, guys," he said, trying to deflect the attention.
Hardik grinned, "Yeah, right. We all saw that look on your face. Spill the beans, man!"
Rashid added, "Come on, Shubman, we're your teammates. You can tell us."
Shubman finally gave in. "Alright, alright. I just met up with an old friend for dinner. That's it."
