Sara arrived in Ahmedabad, her heart racing with anticipation. It was the second time GT was facing RCB, and she knew how much this match meant to Shubman. Gujarat Titans had been on a losing streak, with five consecutive losses weighing heavily on Shubman's mind. He was desperate for a win, and Sara could feel his determination even from afar.

Without telling him she was coming, Sara made her way to the stadium. She wore Shubman's jersey, the familiar number on her back making her feel closer to him. As she found her spot in the stands, the crowd erupted in cheers at the sight of her. Fans started hooting and chanting, recognizing her immediately.

But Shubman, fully focused on the game, didn't notice the commotion. His mind was solely on the match ahead. RCB won the toss and chose to bowl first, setting the stage for a tense encounter.

Shubman and Wriddhiman Saha walked out to open the batting for GT. Sara watched anxiously as Saha got out quickly, scoring just 6 runs. Shubman, determined to lead by example, played a steady innings, but his frustration was evident as he got out for 42 runs. Sara's heart sank a little, knowing how much he had wanted to anchor the innings.

The middle order stepped up, with Shah Rukh Khan and Sai Sudharsan building a solid partnership. The crowd cheered as they took the score past 150, but the excitement was short-lived when Shah Rukh was dismissed. Sai and David Miller continued the fight, pushing the score to 200, giving the team a fighting chance.

But as the RCB batsmen came out to bat, it was clear they were in formidable form. Shubman, who was captaining, tried every strategy he could think of. He switched bowlers, tried different field placements, but nothing seemed to work. RCB's batsmen were relentless, scoring off spinners, yorkers, and fast balls alike. The only moment of relief came when they managed to dismiss Faf du Plessis, but Virat Kohli and Will Jacks were unstoppable.

RCB chased down the target in just 16 overs. The match ended in a crushing defeat for Gujarat Titans. Sara could see the disappointment etched on Shubman's face as he congratulated the RCB players with a small, forced smile. He gave a brief post-match interview, his voice monotone and his eyes distant, before heading to the team bus.

When they reached the hotel, Shubman quietly made his way to his room. Sara arrived shortly after, feeling a mix of sadness and determination. She approached the receptionist, hoping to surprise him.

The receptionist looked at her apologetically. "I'm sorry, ma'am, no visitors are allowed to the players' rooms."

Sara gave a small smile, understanding the protocols. "I'm Sara Shubman Gill, Shubman's wife. Could you please give me his spare key?"

The receptionist's eyes widened in recognition, and she quickly handed over the key. "Of course, Mrs. Gill. Here you go."

Sara took the key, her heart heavy with concern for Shubman. She made her way to his room, determined to be there for him in whatever way he needed.
