Tommy's POV:

Things were finally feeling better. Less buzzy and big and overwhelming.

"Here, do you like marshmallows? Why don't you eat this while it heats up." I took the marshmallow from Kristin and squished it between my fingers. It was soft and spongy. The more I squished it the stickier it got. Tubbo wheeled himself over and snuck one out of the packet for himself, chucking it in his mouth and smiling at me. I placed it cautiously in mine and started chewing. I liked it, it was weird but I liked it. Not as much as orange starburst though.

I took another and chewed it. "Nice?" She asked, I half-nodded and went for another. "Hang on there little man, there's going to be none left for this slime. How about we get you something else to eat?"

I huffed and crossed my arms. "Come on, you can't just eat marshmallows, or you won't grow up strong and healthy hey?" She ruffled my hair and went to the fridge. "How about some carrots?" I shook my head and pouted. "What's got you so annoyed hmm? Let's use our words, where's your iPad." Tubbo appeared with it, and handed it to me, staying right next to me as I logged in and clicked on my button talking app thing. I couldn't find what I wanted. I got frustrated and dropped my iPad. I cried. Everything felt big, and buzzy and overwhelming again.

Tubbo took both my hands and blew gently on my face before I paid attention to him for long enough to start calming down. It made me giggle, it was ticklish and it felt normal. My big brother was still my big brother, just a bit different. "Sign." He suggested, signing it himself. I didn't think I knew enough signs for what I wanted to say either!

"Sad. Angry. Little. Me." I flapped my hands and scrunched my face up. Tubbo got out his phone and texted Kristin.

She looked at her phone, laughed a little, bit her lip and crouched down in front of me, "sorry for calling you little man Tommy, I didn't mean to upset you. But you still can't have any more marshmallows right now."

I pointed at the cupboard where the orange starburst were always kept, annoyingly out of my reach. "You can have one orange starburst or a bowl of carrots. What do you think?" I pointed at the cupboard again. I'd get carrot sticks with dinner, I wasn't stupid, I was smart. And I was getting my orange starburst.

Wilbur's POV:

I closed the lid of the piano and gathered my stuff before walking back up to the house. I was happy with the progress I'd made with my music homework (basically just making sure I could still play music) and felt a bit calmer. Things had just been so hectic recently and having an hour for myself had been much more needed than I'd realised.

"What are you making?" I asked, stepping into the kitchen, taking off my shoes at the door mat and shutting the door behind me.

"Edible slime with marshmellows."

"Oh you done with the rice then Tommy?" My little brother nodded, staring at the marshmallows melting and making Mum nervous he'd somehow burn himself.

The tray of rice was still in the living room, behind the sofa in what he become Tommy's play space. There was trains and dinosaurs littered in and around the tub and rice basically everywhere. But he was happier, and that kind of made everyone happier.

"Have you had your meds today? Wilbur?"

"Yea I took them this morning!" I said, trying to quickly retreat to my bedroom.

"No, I meant the afternoon course of antibiotics."

"I finished them already."

"Oh ok, no worries, dinner will be in an hour or so. Did you want a snack?"
