Chapter 25: Birthday (Part 2)

1 hour and 30 minutes later
She woke up in his arms, still believing all of it to be a dream, but it was reality when he was cuddling her and she was blushing hard.

"I need to make a call" she got up from the bed, walked at a corner and called.
"Zacarias get me some fresh clothes for myself and a pair of men clothes as well, in room no 2801!" Meanwhile she finishes her call, she realised he was hugging her from behind.

"I was almost raped two days ago." She suddenly spoke up.

"What?" He asked turning her and looking at her with disbelief.
"What do you mean?"

"Well you know I was in Sardinia, and 2 days ago I was in a bar—someone spiked my lime water; took me upstairs to a random room..I was unconscious and he tried to rape me but my family saved me on time."

"The bruises on your body—are they from that day?" She nods her head.

"I am so—so-rry. No girl deserves that pain.
Tell me their names, I will fucking kill them all."

"You don't need to get angry; my family took care of them. I know you must be wondering why am I telling you all—it's just that I am reminding you of times when I needed you and you weren't here. I am not pointing out or telling it was your mistake; I just feel like you needed to know about it"

"Fuck-dammit.
I am sorry Ana, I really am.
I wasn't here to protect you"

"No no that's not what I want from you-your protection..I don't want it. I am not little girl who needs men's protection because I am perfectly capable of doing it."

"I know you are a very strong girl but still I have to give you an apology for the days you have wished to be with me, for the times you wanted me, the times I didn't reply to your voicemails even after hearing them; yes I heard them but I am not here to do the small talk, I am here to give you a clo—" before he could complete his sentence, someone knocked.

"Wait wait a second, it must be Zacaris."

"Everything you ordered mam."

"Keep them here"

"Your father is asking for you, and your mother she wishes to see you"

"Is the party over?"

"Almost—well your parents are leaving for home so I think we should leave too" he said looking at the man who was present in the room with Ariana.

"Stop looking at each other like that—like you both are going to kill each other. Zacarias he's Digio; someone I am close too and Digio this is Zacarias; he's in my security and he is the one who saved me that day"

No they didn't talk even after Ariana introduced them.

"Are we ready to go mam?"

"Yes I will be down in a few minutes."

"I don't want to go. I really don't want too..I am seeing you after so long and also you wanted to talk about something, what is it?"

"We can talk later"

"Hmm..okay. Can you drop me till down then?" and he nods. They hold hands and walks downstairs till the parking lot.
