Chapter 24: Sentenced

Patient's room
Ariana wakes up..opening her eyes rubbing, rubbing them to clear her view..she tries to sit.
"Aha don't get up..stay on the bed." says the doctor.
He checks her vitals, and everything.

"You're doing well, Ariana. Your vitals are stable, there are a few bruises on your body..but keep applying the cream, and for body aches the nurse will give you medication, but I would still like to keep you for observation until the police arrives to take your statement and I assure you there was no damage done."

"Ok-ay" says Ariana.

"How are you doing now? Are you fine my dear?" asks Amelia

"Mumma, daddy..when- did you all come here?"

"That doesn't matters, how are you now?"

"I am fine daddy"

"Can you remember anything, anything that happened?"

"I..I don't..I don't"

"Think..please think, you might remember something, try a little harder Ariana"

"I..I swear I didn't drink anything uncle..no alcohol or wine, just lime water"

"I know know Ariana. I believe you."

"Someone spiked my drink..the bartender did it. He spiked my drink and then I was unconscious, I don't remember anything after"

"We found you unconscious in one of the room..with the rapist..he didn't look like a bartender though"

"My eyes were awake when he was raping me..when he was upon my body..he was doing it hard..very hard that my back was in immense pain.
I told him-to stop..but he didn't, I said him it hurts—because it was very painful. Tears were in my eyes..I wasn't crying but those were painful tears..I didn't cry" she said with a dry throat.

"We know you don't cry."

"And then-I fell unconscious again."

"And then we found you..I and Zacarias..we saved you" said Ryan

"Ariana I am sorry I shouldn't have left you alone.
I am so sorry"

"It wasn't your fault Rebekah, I wasn't a kid that needed a babysitter to look after, accident happens and I was just the victim this time..don't worry because there was no damage done"

"You're brave, you're my strong girl" Amelia kissed her for-head

"Mr Dawson..the police is here and they would like to talk to you before they take patient statement" informs the nurse.

"Of course"

"Can you send Zacarias inside?"

"I will send him" says Alexander and one by one, they all left the room.

"How are you?" asks Zacarias.

"Come here, come near!" she said. She holds his hand.

"You called me with my name when I was unconscious, I heard you.
For the first time you called me with my name, Ariana" she smiled.

"I did call you— Ariana, because I was scared when I found you unconscious, naked, bruised on the bed..I so damn wished to kill that man, I couldn't protect you"

"You did protect me.
You saved me on time.
Did you find the bartender?"

"He's in our custody now, I am personally going to torture him"

"Hmm..I know you will"

"Can I ask you something..personal?"

"Go on..my lives nothing but personal anymore."
