Chapter 31: The File

Ariana's apartment

"Ceaser you are here." Di Giovanni says passing him the drink as he takes a seat.

"You got the file?"

"Here." He gave him the file.
"Boss I think you should also take a seat before reading it!" Suggest Ceaser

"I believe you have read what is there in the file?!"

"Yes, I did."

"Your reaction tells me some other story. There is something wrong in it with or what I assumed is right—isn't it?"

"Boss I think you should read the file on your own but one thing I can say is that, it will shock you surely. It is not what we expected coming."

"Hmm..let me read it then."
He opened the file and began to read it loudly.

"Ariana...Dawson." He read and stared at her photo which was pasted in the file.
Not even in his worst nightmare he thought that the girl he was meeting for the past few months is the same girl he is destined to be with.
"So Ari...ana is little Dawson?!" He said and continued to read further, father was Axel Dawson and mother is Amelia Dawson.

"She is..
So what now boss? Will you confront her? Are you going to tell her the truth?"

Di Giovanni didn't bother to read it further, because he knew he had already read the most important part from it.

"I have very big plans and you will know about them
very soon, Ceaser."

Sardinia (Rafael's office)

"Boss may I come in?" Zacarias asked for Rafael's permission.

"Of course." Seeing Zacarias, Axel got up from his chair.

"My brother Axel, here has some questions to ask you, Zacarias"

"Yes sir."

"I believe you go with Ariana everywhere?" Without wasting any second, Axel directly went to the point.

"Yes I do, sir"

"Ariana is seeing someone, isn't she?"

"I don't know sir!"

"Please do not lie to me Zacarias.
It's about her safety; that man is Di Giovanni and he is not good enough for her."

"Sir, my loyalty lies to your daughter, i am afraid I cannot answer to your question."

"Zacarias do not forget, before you started working for her; you used to work for me and I was the one you allowed you to work for her, which means I still have the authority to ask you questions; so tell me is Ariana dating this man?" He showed a picture from his phone.

"I will answer to your questions, once you tell me why isn't Ariana safe with him?"

"I think you will have to tell him the truth after all, Axel."

"Fine...years ago when Alexander and Ariana were so little, an incident happened where I was forced to sign a marriage contract on behalf of Ariana to save the rest of my family members."

"What did the contract say?"

"Ariana has to marry Di Giovanni once she passes a mature age."
