Quiet voices slowly invade Jungkook's consciousness and he stretches, bumping his hands on the armrest and the partition, separating the seats. It took him a second to understand where he was, with the constant hum of the plane and the murmuring voices around him. Something lies on his calves and he forces his eyes open. A few rows down, someone opened the shade and sunlight was drifting into the plane.
Jungkook pushes up on his elbows and looks to the right, and has to chuckle. Taehyung lies on his side, one hand close to his face and his mouth slightly opened. One of his legs has found its way onto Jungkook's, despite the distance and it was fascinating how he managed it.
"Give him a jab to wake him," sounds left and Jungkook looks at Hobum. He still doesn't know how those two are travel companions, because he didn't dare to ask more questions after Taehyung had said he was on 'Important Business' in New York. It sounded like he didn't want to talk about it, and that was fine for Jungkook. He still had a great time with him.
"I'm not sure I should do that," Jungkook answers.
The older man smiles slightly. "He won't wake up otherwise. He is a deep sleeper."
"Does he do that often?" Jungkook asks and points at the foot on his calves.
"Yeah, all the time," he answers and looks annoyed. "I am very sorry for his behavior, it's not intentional, I can assure you. You are not bothered, are you?"
The man's voice suddenly sounds a bit nervous.
"No," Jungkook answers. "I'm not bothered. It's fine."
"Good," and he seems relieved.
Jungkook pokes Taehyung's shoulder carefully. "Taehyung-ssi?"
"You need to poke harder," Hobum advises. "He is used to it."
Jungkook shakes Taehyung's shoulder instead and he finally stirs.
"Mmmh?"
"I need to get up and your leg is on mine," Jungkook says calmly.
Taehyung blinks a few times. "Fuck," he whispers and rolls on his back, pulling the blanket over his head. "Sorry!" Sounds muffled from under the fabric.
Jungkook gets his seat up and looks if one of the bathrooms is free, while he grabs a travel toiletries kit out of his bag. He looks down at Taehyung, who has the blanket shoved down to his nose now, only his eyes partly visible because of his messy hair.
"Are you hungover?"
"No," comes his deep voice. "Just not a morning person."
Hobum snorts and Taehyung leans up to glower at the older man.
"Okay, I will freshen up," Jungkook says and leaves for the restroom.
The cabin is small and he bumps his elbows two times while brushing his teeth and styling his hair. Someone from the agency would pick him up and take him to the office after landing, so he had to look somehow presentable.
When Jungkook comes back to his seat, Taehyung looks more alive and stands up as well. He has some clothes in his hand, obviously changing out of his sweats and shirt.
Taehyung squeezes past Jungkook and runs a hand along his shoulders. The touch makes Jungkook suddenly shiver and he looks after him like in trance.
Some glasses clink behind him and the cabin crew starts serving breakfast.
"Do you know what the passenger wants to drink?" The stewardess asks Jungkook, while she hands him his coffee.
"Ehhh...."
