Taehyung poured water over the Omija and observed how the water was turning pink. It was kind of like blood sullying water. He touched the almost healed wound on his hairline and his mind went back to that night. Hearing the howl of the motorcycle, watching it approach and realizing the driver had a baseball bat in one hand. How had that asshole managed? Taehyung was still mad, but also shocked that someone dared to assault them. He didn't want that for Jungkook, not ever.

He took the printed script up and leaned back against the counter, waiting for his tea to steep. Taehyung still couldn't look too long at a screen so he had to read the script slowly in print, but he actually preferred it that way, so he could put little notes on the pages.

He heard the beeping of the lock and looked at his watch and smiled. Jungkook was back home. Taehyung scolded himself, not really home, but he was back with him.

"Taehyung?" he called out from the hall and Taehyung frowned. Did Jungkook sound upset?

"In the kitchen," he replied and looked at his tea that was a deep red by now and he extracted the berries in the tea sieve.

Jungkook emerged in the doorframe, his satchel still over his good shoulder, and he looked tense.

"Hey," Taehyung said and walked up to him, kissing his firm lips in hope to wipe that look off his face. But it didn't have any effect on Jungkook. "Are you okay? Are you in pain?" Taehyung asked, concerned, looking him over quickly.

Jungkook stepped around him wordlessly and put his bag on the counter, extracting several photos. What the fuck was going on?

"Tell me that guy in the back is your security detail you forgot to mention to me?" Jungkook said seriously and held the photos out to him. "Because that would calm me down a lot!"

Taehyung took them carefully, and his heart began to beat quicker. Shit!

"Tell me that is not what I think it is?"

Taehyung licked his lips, staring at the different pictures and the figure in the back.

"Tell me!" Jungkook's voice rose.

Taehyung looked up at him, took his angry face in and his flushed cheeks. His eyes were... sparkling ... with fury? That was one reason he didn't mention it, because Jungkook would be too upset. His understanding of privacy was so different, and now shit hit the fan anyway. Fucking Sasaeng!

"Why didn't you tell me?" Jungkook inquired heatedly, obviously drawing his own conclusions with his hesitation to answer.

Taehyung placed the photos back onto the counter, keeping his head because it wouldn't do any good to show that he was upset as well. "Because I knew you would be upset," he answered calmly. "It wouldn't have changed anything."

Jungkook gaped at him dumbfounded. "It wouldn't have...," Jungkook stopped what he was about to say and turned away from him. His whole body was shaking with rage and Taehyung waited for him to explode.

"If you had known, we wouldn't have had that carefree time with each other," Taehyung pointed out. "You would have tried to control the situation, but you would have failed."

Jungkook turned back to face him, still angry but not shaking with it anymore. "You can't know that."

Taehyung observed him thoroughly, and it was suddenly so obvious to him that it was laughable.

Taehyung walked up to him and took his face into his hands. Jungkook stood still, petrified, like he hadn't expected him to do that. "I care about you too, you know," he said softly. "I also don't want anything to happen to you."
