Naira's POV
" Hey Nick" I knocked at my brother's office door
My father runs his own company successfully and my brother runs his own security company and they both have their own office rooms in the mansion, though my dad already told me that I can turn any room however I want, I might in the future .
" Come in" he said, and he smiled as he saw me
" I just wanted to tell you that I've got an internship at Bronze and Inc." I said
" Oh that's great, you've just got here and you already have an internship, overachiever" he smiled proudly
He never asked why I abruptly left my internship in Europe and moved back home, I know he wanted to, but I guess he understands that we all have our reasons.
" It's an average company, but I guess I'll work my way up from there" I said
He abruptly stood up, " let's go" he said
" Where?" I asked as I followed him
" You got an internship, we're celebrating" he said and went outside
Ok?
We drove in silence
" How's your company doing?" I asked
" It's doing good, we're the top security company after all" he smirked
" Overachiever" I coughed
He didn't say anything, I just hope this outing is not a bad idea.
We reached a dessert place, and my eyes sparkled
" You remember????" I was surprised when I noticed the place, it was a place where we used to come before I left for Europe, the place looks different, a few renovations here and there but everything else is same, especially the sundaes, I thought I was in heaven when I took the first bite of my icecream
" When you said you were coming back, I suddenly remembered this place and I thought we could visit it someday" he said as he inhaled his icecream, while I was on my third bite
Suddenly then his phone rang, it was Kartik D'Angelo's call, they talked about a few things and then Nick got up, and asked me to follow him as I was already done with mine food.
When he started driving, he cut the call and said , " we're going to Kartik's house, I have some important papers to pick up, will that be ok?" He asked
I noticed the urgency in his voice, so I just nodded. After some time, Nick turned a corner and a huge gate was revealed, the guard looked at us and then opened the gate, and there sat a huge mansion, and I thought mine was big.
